Receiver nba, locals
What i am reading, it is no best ppv or vod receiver. Is this fair to say now at this point? Is it any one better receiver now for in order of importance,
1.nba
2.ppv boxing
3.local channels
4.cnn, msnbc, fox, or other news channels
5.versus
6.differ pbs but i guess this goes with locals
7.hbo, sho, skinmax, starz
The first four are the most important to me and if i made the list longer i would include most hd, the better guide and menu system and by all means, not much freezing or down time. What i am reading it looks as if Nfusion and Kbox are nice. I see some advantages and disadvantages of each one. Maybe kbox has more hd and Nfusion has more channels. One other question, on the Nfusion hd, with it taking more bandwidth, with a bigger resolution in hd(when watching hd), would it be slower than Phoenix, on loading channels, flipping thru channels, or how fast a channel comes up as you flip around or is the hd model as fast as the Phoenix? It would be nice if Kbox would come out with a hd model and compete with Nfusion on hd and push the prices down some on hd receivers. I thought of one other question, i think the Nfusion hd has an input for an over the air antenna. Has anyone tried this and how sensitive and good is the nfusion hd on using the ota antenna along with sat? I take it the tv guide would work on ota also. Does Kbox or Phoenix have another input for your ota antenna like the Nfusion hd?
I have noticed since things has gone digital, the pic quality is very nice on digital. The pic quality on 1080i hd is amazing. I get spoiled on 1080i and 1080p, bluray. I am guessing on a server, with hd channels taking up more bandwidth, maybe the less channels they would have to run and the server smoothly. I am thinking out loud on this. I wonder as time goes by, will a company just key in on hd all together? A server with just hd. It should be interesting to see later on. I am saying this as i did not know, if adding more ch's and more hd ch's, could this present probs of more freezing or over loading a server. Great forum all and great reading.
