DPP dual/DPP44/119/110/61.5/correct settings

Can someone please help. I have one dish pointing at 110/119 with a DPP dual lnb and a second dish pointed at 61.5 with a single DP lnb. All running into a DPP44 switch. 119 port1/110 port2/61.5 port 3. It works great with my sub after I ran a check switch, but no matter what settings I use on my MAX I cannot get a consistant signal nor scan and get all the channels. I assume you would use OCS-DP for the lnb,22khz off, and use the corresponding diseq ports in the settings ? This does not work.

I figured out the problem. The stb that is connected through the power inserter on output 1 of the DPP44 does not work correctly. I hooked the sub(VIP 722) thru the power inserter & a check switch test failed, but the max was working. I took the power inserter out of the mix totally and everything is working. Is it ok not to use the power inserter ? Everything is working without it

as long as everything is working then you don't need it
