i have a max hd and use a dish 500 and use a sw-21 switch get 129 with another dish. there are some issues but its works pretty good. sometimes switching between sats it will loose signal but it i turn it off then on again it works. I want to give this box to my dad soon but with the small issues he will just complain. I have deffinitly been pulling my hair out testing switches and tried the dp 44 early with no success with 22k switch has some issues also. I think this box will be great soon. I want to get a sonic view 8000 hd but with the issues with nag 3 Im am going to wait.

try to get a dish 1000.2 off flebay .about 100 bucks.no switches needed run 3 stb

Yes they definitely need to work on the switch issue. The release notes from a few files ago claim to of worked out the bugs with the sw44 but I don't think they did.

take out the sw21 switch and use the 4x1 disq that came with the box
run 2 cables from dish 500 to portss 1 and 2 on switch and a cable from 129 lnb to port 3 and in setup set 119 to disq 1 and 110 to disq 2 and 129 to disq 3

I have a 1000.2 in the garage. will the max power it? Bigevil my quads are filled right now with receivers. only have one hd tv if the max powers it I will be happy! thanks

Do you have any other receivers kicking around not doing anything? If the max can't power it properly you might be able to use a dummy receiver just for power. I haven't read of anyone using one, nor have I heard of anyone with problems. It might be an option if it can't.
