Help with a little problem??
Does anyone out there maybe know why my maxhd will just up and lose volume when changing the channels quickly. I have to stop and reboot to get the volume back. Also, searched for channels and not getting nearly all the channels that I should on 110 and 119. Using di***tv dish with their lnb's. I am thinking that this might have a little to do with it. Getting great signal and quality, just hardly any channels. Any help is much appreciated.

Re: Help with a little problem??
Hello and welcome. These problems are probably due to the fact that it is a new receiver and there are always bugs in them for a bit. The channel thing is probably due to what I read is a problem with the max not controlling switches properly. I think it is a matter of time before all the quirks are perfected.

Re: Help with a little problem??
Thanks very much for the quick reply. I dont know alot about this stuff YET so bear with me a little bit. Are you saying that I just need to way for upgrades via the files?? I was wondering about the dir***tv lnb's because my friend got one at the same time with the dn dish and he got like a thousand channels and I got a mere 155. I didn't know if I should just get a dn dish or not. Thanks again.

Re: Help with a little problem??
It is possible you have the wrong lnb type or switch type picked but with the issues the max is having controlling switches it's hard to say for sure what is causing your problems. You might want to try changing lnb types and rescanning.

dtv dish and lnb do not work that good with dn sat. that might be why you are not getting all the channels. but then again i have not tried to use that of setup for a long time it was to hard to tweek and i could only get one sat good and the other was like you said not all the channels were not there. best bet is to get a dn dpp or a dish with a motor the motor is harder to install but worth it in the long run, that is if you are only running 1 receiver a dpp is better for more than 1 receiver. good luck and upgrade there is alot of good help here and fun hope this helps see you around.

Re: Help with a little problem??
There main arm that comes off the dish has a single lnb on it. There is a bracket off that arm to the left (standing behind the dish) that has two lnb's on it. I do not know exactly what dish it is because there are no names on it or numbers.

If you can afford it get what i have a 1000.2 getting 1069 channels from 110,119,129 with no switch required. now if you can go for the 1000 plus you can get 4 sats the 110,118.7,119,129 but for that you will need a dp 44 switch which can run you about $100 bucks just for the switch..
