ihubs not all working after update to 1.4
well guys i have been trying everything to get my ihub working for almost 12 hrs and i have alot of experience with these recievers and iks well i tried it all i could back up my ihub to 1.0 and back to 1.4 etc i also had no problems getting it to read the 1.4 and loading the 462 new file but no picture i have tried almost all the different ways to do it from this site and from other guys including some masters here and nothing worked ..
so as a last resort i decided to call my bud who is a dist where i live and said to him i cannot get it to work and all is good routers ip address ping ing the servers ports all open and even setting up the ipconfig as a static .. which made me load the ihub everytime with whatever frimware i wanted MADE NO DIFFERENCE
so anyways i called him up and he said hit his place and he would give me a few ihubs to test..well i picked it up today and all i did was load 460 and plugged the ihub in ipconfig came up and then entered my new serial# hit apply reboot from the rear and the tv came up .. then i just opened the wiznet and loaded 1.4 while the tv was on (as per the zekster master ) then it froze and as soon as i loaded 462 then reciever rebooted and perfect tv froze once for about 1 second in the last 3 hrs ..
so if you are not getting the picture maybe see if you can borrow a ihub or get another and try it because the 12 hrs i wasted with my old i hub was crazy all in all it took me 5 min to update and watch tv ..
so beware it could be a dud in my opinion..
good luck and if you have tried all the different ways and still not pic after the update could be a bad ihub or maybe corrupted ..
good luck just though i would share
Tomcat01
watching perfect tv no freezing

great job troubleshooting TC

Re: ihubs not all working after update to 1.4
Great Post TC. I'm sure there are some thinking theirs might be duds. If all else fails switch it out. Glad you're watching TV with the HD.

Re: ihubs not all working after update to 1.4
thanks for the call and the brainstorming last night i gave my buddy the other NEW ihub but after seeing the problems i had with my old on he want me to do his so he can watch how to do it ..
i was amazed how fast it updated and for your info that was the same way i original loaded it on my old one so it leads me to believe it is the ihub maybe it got corrupt and that is why it was not working but the new one is flawless
thanks again for the help my friend .

Re: ihubs not all working after update to 1.4
Ya, try 11, 12, 13, or 14 in this link:
http://www.abadss.com/forum/1004-son...b-newbies.html
If all else fails, do as TC did, get another IHUB.

Re: ihubs not all working after update to 1.4
you can also make sure that your ipconfig is on dhcp then aply then you can also upgrade to 1.0 first use the file here
http://www.abadss.com/forum/484-soni...b-rom0100.html
now use this first if it does not load take the checkmark out of the use dns and try again once the 1.0 is loaded then use the usb to load 460 tune to channel 200 when you get tv back
then open wixnet again and load 1.4 once the tv freezes then load bin 462 let it reboot and leave it on the same channel and it should turn the tv back on and you are set hopefully this helps

Re: ihubs not all working after update to 1.4
What I have found over the last week with a few members that I have got up and running is, some think they have done something wrong, and in actuallality they just need to wait and be patient after they have loaded the latest I hub file, especially if you have a virgin receiver or have no pic at all. It can take up to 10 minutes for a picture to appear. If you have TV with the previous ihub bin and version 1.00 then your picture will FREEZE right after your load the latest ihub files, which is a good thing, it's suppose to freeze for just a second.
Bottom line, if you are able to upload version 1.4 on your wiznet and upload the latest file to your receiver, you should have TV.
If you don't have TV, you either have a bad Ihub or you need to set your receiver to channel 200 and be patient, and you will have TV, this process can take up to 10 minutes for a picture to appear.

Re: ihubs not all working after update to 1.4
Fix's have nothing to do with the ihub. Most Ihubs are good, but there are some bad ones just like with most electronic equipment.
