Does the nuveino NEED to be connected to computer?

I just bought a nuvieno reciever and I would like to know if this has to be connected to a computer or can I load from usb? I dont want to connect to a computer? Also when does the light on the front come on?

nfusion needs to hooked up to internet to work and connect with server and up date files, you can use usb port to update reciever olso..

Sorry for the dumb questions but will this bin, loaded from the usb, work without the internet? Also this is a new nfusion nuveino hd if it matters.

nfusion hd takes a different bin ,you can load through usb but you still need to connect to the internet for nfurion to run ,this is how all nfusion,s run....

There is now way around this? I only have dial up in my area so I dont have any internet at home. I dont want to pay for sat. internet. So i guess I have a useless $500 box. Bummer

I had both SV HD and the VS HD I sold my SV and have had my VS HD and love it the picture is not as good as the nfusion HD . IMHO

For the best possible functionality, you are going to want to connect the nFusion to the Internet. But if you are looking to part with it, I'm sure you'll have no trouble selling that unit ... especially if you wait until Feb

but i know you could trade it if you work on it man, i would buy it but I have trouble with deals like this as we don't know each other what area you in state city . maybe we can get you a local trade or sale

all boxs need internet to work sooner or later for new bins ck on reading about n3 alot of boxs not working right now on bv.and dish is next how long ?.the good thing is the box you have is working very well sell it on ebay

The OP would be better off getting an internet connection, even dial-up then buying another box as all providers will be using N3 encryption very soon, and Nfusion has most channels working on N3 and is adding more while no one else has, at least not on a stand-alone box.

Keep your Nfusion and get a dial-up internet connection and a router.

Another brand of box might only work for another month or so once both providers switch to N3

If you decide to sell your Nfusion, I would wait a month or so when demand for them will be huge due to the implementation of N3 on both providers.

Better yet, hold onto it and spend $20.00 a month for internet.

thanks guys you have answered my questions. But Sky Pilot you mention the ROUTER. Will the Infusion work without the wireless upgrade or does it come with wireles capabilities?
