How to keep 119 at TP 12239
Every time I go into the channel search menu, the TP always defaults back to TP 12224. I then change it to 12239, press exit to save and exit, and then go back into channel search and it, again, defaults back to 12224. Am I missing something here? All I'm seeing is scramble. I have 95 connection and 95 quality. Also, I have the latest patch. I can see 110 channels, but not 119. Please help. Thanks in advance for the help given.

Re: How to keep 119 at TP 12239
12224 is just the default transponder and it will change back to it everytime unless you delete it from the list
but you don't have to it is not hurting anything and you are not missing any channels off of it because it is a dead tp on that sat

Re: How to keep 119 at TP 12239
But is there a reason why I cannot see any channels on this satellite? I can see channels on 110, but no channels on 119. I can see info on EPG and such, but still, nothing but the words scramble.

Re: How to keep 119 at TP 12239
I have a Dish 500 with a Dishnet Quad LNB p/n 214-5100-454. I add this because it does not have the DP in black writing on the LNB and I just wanted to note that.
Here are the following settings:
Channel Search Setting when I search for 119 channels
Satellite - Echo7 119W
DISEqc - 1
TP Frequency - 12239
LNB - 11250
22KHZ Tone - Off
Multi-Dish Switch - Off
Seach Options - All Channels
LNB Power - On
Then I hit Search and it picks up all the channels, but I can't see them.
Here is what I do for 110W:
Satellite - Echo8/10 110W
DISEqC - 2
TP Frequency - 12224
LNB - 12250
22KHz Tone - Off
Multi-Dish Switch - Off
Search Options - All Channels
LNB Power - On
Again, I hit search and it populates lots of channels.
Here are my DISEqC Switch Options
DiSEqC Switch 1 - Echo7 119W - 11250
DiSEqC Switch 2 -Echo8/10 110W - 11250
DiSEqC Switch 3 - NONE
DiSEqC Switch 4 - NONE
And finally the Motor Setup Screen says:
Motor Type - DiSEqC 1.2
Satellite - Echo8/10 110W
Switch & LNB - Setup
LNB type - Multi port LNB
LNB 11250
DiSEqC - 2
22KHZ - Off
Legacy - Off
TP Frequency - 12224
Motor Movement - Stop
Motor Control - Store Sat position
Satellite Position 110.0o 123 West
Search Options - All Channels
Again, I hit search and channels populate.
Sorry for such the long response. I wanted to be as detailed as possible so that it's easier for anyone reading this to help me. Thanks again for all the help. It's greatly appreciated.

Re: How to keep 119 at TP 12239
do you have a disq switch between the lnb and the receiver
also if you do not have a motor that should be either off or none

Re: How to keep 119 at TP 12239
I just did a factory default so that I could reset everything and start from scratch. I don't know if I have to reload anything again such as Bin, upgraded firmare and latest patch. I look at system information and it gave me the latest bin so I left it as is.
My Nano is connected straight from the LNB. I'm not using a switch. The reason being is I read around the forums and it states that with the LNB I have, I can connect up to 4 receivers, which is what I'm planning on doing. Anyway, I did a DiSEqC Switch setup where I did DiSEqC 1 (119W/11250) and DiSEqC 2(110W/11250) and no channels populated. I then did the channel search for 119W. And here is what I have the settings set to:
Satellite - Echo7 119W
DiSEqC - None (I changed this to none since I'm not using a switch because I think the LNB has an internal switch, correct? Please correct me if I'm wrong.)
TP Frequency - 12239
LNB - 11250
22KHz - Off
Multi-Dish Switch - SW 44 Dish 1 (I saw this setting looking it up on this forum)
Search Options - All Channels
LNB Power - On
Do I need to make any changes to these settings?

Re: How to keep 119 at TP 12239
No diSEqC needed, the Quad Legacy has a built-in SW44.
I'm not in front of my Duo right and since I don't use that LNB so I don't know the settings by heart.
Don't use the motor settings. Don't use the DiSEqC settings. You will have to use the multiswitch settings......if there is no sw44, try sw21, but by watching the banner at the bottom, you should see when you have it correct.
TP 12224 on 119 is not dead if you live in the SW US (as I recall that is where that spotbeam is aimed).

Re: How to keep 119 at TP 12239
It works. Thanks guys for your help. It ended up working on my last post when I changed the M D S. For 110W, I just entered none for M D S and it worked. Don't know why, but it did. If I have problems later on in the future, I'll change it. One last question, I have 3 wires connected to my LNB so that I can connect 3 STB's. Now, I know I need to ground the wires, but here's my question. Do I need to ground all 3 cables? The first cable that goes to 1a does not have a grounding wire connected to it. The other 2 cables that is connected to 1b and 2a has a grounding wire with it. I grounded that one. Am I okay, or do I need to change my cable from 1a to one that has a grounding wire? Thanks again for all your help folks. This forum is awesome.
