Cnx Nano Dongle?
I just upgraded my Nano to the latest file for Dongle and connected my Lan line to it and it shows I have correct setup. My question is I did a factory reset before upgrading to the latest file for dongle. In doing so I am having trouble doing a channel scan for some reason. I am wondering why and am at a stand still with my Nano Dongle setup all established. Anyone else having the channel search problem?

Ooops Just noticed a storm moving in and lost my signal! Disregard my previous post about the channel scan. After the storm subsided I regained my signal and ran a channel scan with success.
I was also informed that the server is down for the cnx nano dongle. Looks like I am going to have to wait until the server is back up to see if everything will work fine.

Im still stumped!!! I ran my Ethernet cable through the downstairs then back up to my living room connected to the hub (router) then connected to my receiver. I upgraded and then downloaded the latest software after a factory reset. All is good I have a green light that slightly flashes as all systems look good except for 3 days I still have black scrambled channels. I even checked to see if there is a firewall blocking the server form the router and it is all good. I even rebooted the receiver as some said in other posts with no luck..............What a head scratcher!!!!!
Help!

Re: Cnx Nano Dongle?
Do all the chans say scramble?,cause to the best of my knowledge the nano is only getting some not all chans on DN.Try scolling throught and see if you get any also try hard reboot ( toogle back power switch off /on),i'll look for a list on whats supposedly up for you.

I do have the original Cnx Nano. The New Cnx Nano 2 just came out within the last week and it has is stamped on the front of the IRD top right side of the front of the unit.
I seen a channel lists on other sites and I tried many of those stations as well as most every station on Bev as most of all of them are up and nothing there as well. I totally read my behind off and still stumped.....I think I still have something blocking my router and or hub from connecting to the server and I cannot configure my computer to recognize the server Im guessing. At this point Im about to pay $1,000,000.00 to someone who can figure this out. Okay maybe not quite that much.

I am using a Dsl westell router from verizon for my internet connection. I have a 50ft ethernet lan cable that I ran for my connection to my dongle hub. Im curious if I should connect the ethernet cable to the back of my computer and or should I connect it to the Dsl router? I have it connected to the back of my computer with no luck.

Re: Cnx Nano Dongle?
check this out,
After the upgrade goto Menu -> Accessory ->RS-232 Mode and select Type to Dongle.
3. Connect the dongle to RS-232 Port.
4. Connect the Lan line to the dongle.
5. After 10 seconds(dongle booting time and IP setting time) go to Menu -> System Information
very bottom line it should show the dongle software version
6. If it shows the version it means connected but if it shows Unknown it means not connected.
7. When Connected go to USB Menu and select the DGL(dongle upgrade file.).
A. It should start to upgrade the dongle.
B. After the upgrade please check the System Information in the Menu and make sure the upgraded version is IX-X00-N_A2.0.4_T1626
8. Go to Menu Accessory -> RS-232 Mode and select Network IP Setup.
9. Will read the dongle IP information and show. If the IP information shows Auto or Maual it means the IP setup is correct.
A. If it shows Not Used it means setup has not been done. Check the lan line and if no problem please select Auto and Apply.
B. IF you dont see IP information after 20-30 seconds it is the lan line problem.
10. When it has been set up correctly go to Bev/Dish N3 Channel and the dongle will try to connect to the server. Press OK
A. Dish and Bev should be working for now. More channels to come as we work on it.
B. If no screen shows up it mean there is a problem on the server or on the software.
Should have all channels except locals, only have porn channels 495 and 496 at this time, have all 400's sports channels, and also have all 800's latino and hope to be adding indian channels and chinese next week. No PPV on dish, No porn or PPV on bev

Re: Cnx Nano Dongle?
So is anybody up and running? I just set up everything and nada. "scramble", all settings and versions are correct. The activity lights on the dongle are even blinking like it's trying to connect to a server. Is this service running?

I'm still waiting for mine to come (iHub) but sounds like you might not be hooked up right.
From what I understand...you run from your DSL router to the dongle with ethernet lan cable...then from the iHub to your receiver via rs-232 serial data cable. (not the PC)
But I have a wireless card & no connection to a router, so I been thinking I might can hookup to my PC (like you did) but it might not work for me either.
I will know after some testing.

Re: Cnx Nano Dongle?
Cricket is actually a fishing buddy of mine. I went over his house. He was a bit confused about his router set up. We got that figured out, but still nothing. He let it sit over night, and then this morning, bam he had t.v. I don't know I you have to let it sit for a long time to kick in, or the server was down for a long time. Anyhow, he's up and running! How's that for Abadss help!!! Door to to door service!!! LOL Now we can go fishing today!!!
