I know it works, but I never tried to do it yet.
It's in the menu somewhere.
It might work similar to uploading a file via USB...keep testing.
If you don't figure it out soon, let me know & I will go find out for you & post it.

i have tried in the usb menu,
if i go to the usb menu, the movie i recorded is listed there, i hit the "ok" button, like i would to upgrade the software but it does nothing,
it wont give me any options or a pop up menu like a software upgrade, tried hitting play and many other button too, nothing,

Re: Recording to USB Thumb Drive?
Yes Sgt is right, just press the play button on your remote control and you will see a list of what you recorded and scroll down to the movie and hit OK. Remember you have to be in Tv mode not in the menu section. Now if you want to record the movie and watch it on your computer and then burn it onto a dvd, use the program VideoRedo TvSuite. This program is really good at taking the TS. file and converting it to mpeg and you can alos edit your movie and cut out the commercials. Very cool program.

Re: Recording to USB Thumb Drive?
Mini had a problem, I assume that it continues with Nano(s). If there is an illegal dos character in the name it will give that error. I suggest renaming the file to remove those characters.
There was also a 2gig playback limitation. While it would record larger files, it would not play them.
