Newbie needs help !!!
I'm trying to install a Viewsat VS2000 and a dish 500 dish.I have good signal strength about 86-90 when I pick Satellite's to download channels it tells me 90 + channels have been downloaded but when I go to my guide none are there.Can someone please tell me what i'm doing wrong. Any help greatly appreciated.

What sats are you pointing at? What is the S reading and the Q reading?

Sat 97w is galaxy 19 and is a true fta sat and needs a different lnb then the one your using.

Reciever tells me they have been downloaded do i want to save.When I save them it they dont show in my guide.

Make sure you have your time zone set properly i.e -5 hrs. When you turn the receiver off with the power button on the remote and if eh receivers time is correct then you have the time set properly.

Bought dish and receiver as a packaged fta deal.It wouldn't have correct LNB'S ?

There are two different lnb types Circular like the ones DN uses and Linear like the ones true fta uses. Dish 500 dish's use circular lnbs.

Ok I understand now. Are there any other SAT I can bring in ? Also time is correct on receiver.
