2 dead boxes
Recently purchased 2 SV360 premiers. Installed the first and got no video on TV at all. Nothing but MAIN displayed on the box. Never got anywhere with that one. Installed the 2nd box and got video and used the menu to do the downloadfs and etc. Had a real problem with scans and few channels but eventually by using individual scans got all my channels. Half way into a movie the TV went blank and box displayed main and has been dead ever since despite many attempts to reboot and redownload using the USB menu from the power on procedure with front panel button. Having said all this my LEGAL dish works great with same antenna and cables so I,m well pointed with good signal strength. Hard to believe that I received 2 bad boxes. They are super successful with my associates here. Please help.

Re: 2 dead boxes
What type of dish are you using? What settings did you put into the receiver? Use a null rs232 cable to add the system clean file into the receiver and start over. Welcome to our site and there are plenty of people here that will walk you through the steps needed to get you up and running.

Re: 2 dead boxes
Thanks for your quick reply, I am using a USB flash for the clean file and have a Dish 500 with a built-in switch. I use all the correct settings have had several different boxes in the past and am familiar with the scan procedures. Have followed procedures from this web to no avail. Have one at work and it works great,. I am totally 'flumaxed'.

Re: 2 dead boxes
The SV boxes are usually VERY good units ... you might want to try uploading the latest file to the unit over the serial cable that came with the box, and see if that helps any.
Keep us posted ...

Re: 2 dead boxes
Thanks everyone but my video is dead!!! The only way I can access the box is through the power on switch by pressing the silver button on the simutaneously - and that is only USB.

Re: 2 dead boxes
Load the sys clean file, reboot ect ... then load the factory file, set your ANT setting to 123W and save ... then get an RMA from www.sonicviewusa.com

Re: 2 dead boxes
as a last resort, return the boxes under warranty and get 2 new ones then start over by letting us talk you through the installation to be sure there are no mix ups next time.
good luck and post back if you need any more help.
