which satellite is best?
Hi!
My husband just bought a CoolSat 4000 Pro system. We are going to start setting it all up, however, when I go to a satellite pointer thing, there are so many options to choose from.
So my questions is, which of those satellite is the best one to choose for FTA satellite?
Any input would be greatly appreciated!
Thank you!

Re: which satellite is best?
123W is one of the better ones o point to unless you want more of an intentional channel lineup.

Re: which satellite is best?
I use 110 and 119 but I have no hd, you can use the lyngsat link to see channel lists and the dishpointer to find the co-ordinates for them.
the links are in my signature.

Re: which satellite is best?
I am sorry to say that the Coolsat 4000 Pro that you have is not possible to be used for any of the popular satellites of Dishnetwork viz: 119W and 110W.
It is only good for True FTA satellites as suggested by boboisno1 - satellite 123W or 97W.

Re: which satellite is best?
To continue with everyone else replies, to get TRUE FTA you will need at least a 33" dish (36-39 is better) and a linear LNB (FSS LNB) and if you were to add a $75.00 motor you would never be without something to watch.
If you have a dish that is big enough dish (33") to receiver a good signal from 123W I would start there.
Great site especially a beginner. Peps here love to help!!!!!!!
