i moved and i am trying to setting up a dish 1000
i moved over the last weekend .
the house that i moved out of had a superdish 121 on the roof that worked great .
now that i moved i picked up a dish 1000 that a friend of mine had installed about 1-11/2 years ago
when i removed it from his roof all i did was undo the mast arm and take it off the roof, i never messed with any other adjustments
now im trying to set it up at my new house
i got my mast level at all angles
i only moved 5 blocks so i should be able to just set the dish back on the mast and swivel it in to a signal but its not happening like that
all my setting are right as far as i know
im using a cheap signal finder and a coolsat 6000 for setting up the dish and then im going to switch it out for my sonicview360p
any ideas on what im doing wrong?

Re: i moved and i am trying to setting up a dish 1000
If the pole you took the dish from wasn't plumb, this can cause the issues you're having. Just use the receiver to find the signal and use trans freq 12239 for 119 and 12224 for 110.

Re: i moved and i am trying to setting up a dish 1000
Based on your Dish type and location use this data to help you:
Elevation: 32.6°
Azimuth (true): 221.2°
Azimuth (magn.): 223.7°
LNB Skew [?]: 29.3°

Dish Skew [?]: 119.3°
Dont worry about LNB skew ...
This data assumes you are shooting for 110, 119 and 129

Re: i moved and i am trying to setting up a dish 1000
 True Azimuth: 221.15
Magn. Azimuth: 223.42 Magnetic azimuth should be used when using an uncorrected compass.
Dish Elevation: 31.83 Skew Angle: 114.4
here is where i have things aproximatly set

Looks like you are a bit off ... use the data I had provided. And see if that helps you.

Re: i moved and i am trying to setting up a dish 1000
when I found 119 on mine all others fell into place rather easily but if your out a bit it will take sometime searching for the sat..
patience bud and it will all come together..
