help finding sat signal
i have a dishnet 500 oval dish 20by22 with 2 lnbf ,also an dtv 18" dish with one lnb..im using sat finder sf-95c+ to find signal,it does have power from the receiver, only showing 1 bar.
im aiming alt at 46.8 azum between 170.and 280.and find no signal
according to sat finder per my address : 1035 w lynn spfld,mo 65802 this should be correct position.
im sure iv overlooked something as iv not done this in many moons.testing dave was easy, except for the smart card programing.
my new captive works 800s is ready and waiting for me to provide it with a signal so we can begin testing.
i hope someone can help me with my brainblock.

Re: help finding sat signal
First off all try to use dishpointer.com , then do not tight the bolts to much , set elevation few degrees lower than You get from the website and scan the sky from West to East in let say 15 degrees range. Then increase the elevation just by the hair and scan again from East to West and again and again. If Your equipment is not damaged You will find everything.

Re: help finding sat signal
no you dont need a update, what is it your useing for lnb? post all your settings and if i will see if i can help you.you have 2 bars ,what is your readings -the first bar on the left gives you your reading on connection from lnb to reciever -the second bar is quality -this tells you when you hit sat.

You might want to "remove" your address from your post!!!! I don't think that is a good idea; your zip should suffice. Apparently this is where your listed... http://www.google.com/search?q=1035+...efox-a.....FYI only

Re: help finding sat signal
I personally like dishpointer you can put in your address an get a line of site in red see where to mount your sat an also to see where to aim off of other reference points. by zooming in on your property. Or where ever you are installing.
