New Tree problem?
This may sound stupid but before I start putting in a new pole: I seem to be having a problem locking into 119 with good quality. I have had this dish set up for years, no problem, I have checked switches wires, lnb, etc. and still am not getting a good Q. There is a tree in my yard that has started to grow rapidly. I get great quality and signal on 110 on the same dish. I have another dish on same pole for another receiver, but a bit higher up, and have no problems with this one. Could a tree affect 119 and not 110?

Re: New Tree problem?
It could. How did you check your LNB? If you have a extra one swap it out. Now, If that will not work that tree could be your issue. Good Luck

Re: New Tree problem?
its possible if the tree is very close but I have seen dishes pointed right into the woods and they still work. mine point at a huge maple about 75 ft away and my signal is fine. I can also stand about 2-3 ft from my dishes without any signal loss.

Re: New Tree problem?
Yes, I had another lnb. Same thing. I guess I will have to move the pole eventually if the tree is going to be allowed to remain. Husband says, he would rather move the dishes than cut down the tree. I guess we better get digging, cause I just know Nag 3 isnt going to get us down for long (Im very optimistic) and hopeful. LOL

Re: New Tree problem?
Actually there is a further 22 degree gain on the elevation when the signal hits the dish. Also 110 is slightly higher up and therefore it is very possible that 119 is covered by the tree and 110 is just missing the tree.
