Re: Echo3-61.5 How many channels?
What TP did you use?
I have mid 70's sig and 98 quality and im only catching about 80 channels. Also do you know why you have to use a certain TP? What difference does the TP during the scan make?

Re: Echo3-61.5 How many channels?
TP is only used for checking signal and has absolutely no effect on a scan.

Re: Echo3-61.5 How many channels?
Ok should you scan with the tp that has the highest signal?

Re: Echo3-61.5 How many channels?
It doesn't matter what tp you start with it will default and scan all tp's. It is for checking signal and that's all.

Re: Echo3-61.5 How many channels?
One more question.....
Quality is achieved by moving your dish from left to right and signal is achieved in elevation?

Re: Echo3-61.5 How many channels?
S is connection from your receiver to lnb and Q is your signal strength. So moving the dish side to side up and down to peak the Q reading.

Re: Echo3-61.5 How many channels?
When doing this, which should be done first...elevation or azmiuth? Or does it even matter?

Doesn't matter peak it one way then move the other way, and then if you want peak it the way you did the first time.

Re: Echo3-61.5 How many channels?
Those readings should be high enough. I have no idea how many you should get.

Re: Echo3-61.5 How many channels?
One last queston, why is it say for instance on TP 12632 I get S of 87 and Q of 74, then I switch to TP12661 and I get S87 and Q of 0? Does this mean there are no channels on that TP, and my signal drops off to 0.

Re: Echo3-61.5 How many channels?
It may be that it is now a dead transponder or your receiver just can't read that trans, not enough strength.

Re: Echo3-61.5 How many channels?
No enough strength from the receiver or do you mean strength as in quality as you stated above?
