Re: Intelsat 68.5 C band .. need help
for c-band you dont need either of those lnbs.....you need a c-band lnb
the size of dish will depend on your location.....an minimum of 8 feet anywhere in north america, or possibly bigger......

Re: Intelsat 68.5 C band .. need help
Now I guess, 8ft size of dish would not meet a legal requirement in North America. for that I need to get a permit from ..

is it a moveable dish ? or staionary?
are u in calf.?or the east cost?
if the dish moves then u need a lnbf-c with a roter(about 135$us)
if it does not move u can use an lnb dig. c liner(about 20$ us)
if your on the east cost then yer good to go
if your any where west of kanses then your scr##ed ,from my location Co. 72w is my last sat befor the horizon
also youll need a way to move the dish (like a 4dtv stb)

it would be fairly low on the horizon in your location......it depends on your line of sight, and if there are any trees or buildings blocking your sight.....

What size of a dish would be suitable for the frequency range of 3.7 Ghz to 4.2 Ghz.

Re: Intelsat 68.5 C band .. need help
I did a some research in regards to the alignment and positioning.
This is what I got. Azimuth = 128.67 , Elevation = 16.56 for 68.5.
I think it's obtainable.

Hi, I don't see that sat on lyngsat.com. Is it a new one? What is on it and what does the footprint look like? Later, SB0

You will only be able to hit the west satellites and maybe one or two of the upper eastern satellites (170E > 179E) ? Note - some of the same channels that are on 68.5E are also on Intelsat 9 at 58W You are in the footprint of this sat and might be able to receive it. I get 58W very easy with my 10 foot BUD but I'm way south and east of you (Florida) I enjoy the international channels on this sat and it has a huge footprint. BTW - make sure you click on the "C" on the right of the listing when using lyngsat - that will show you the footprint. SB0

Hi, there are quite a lot of different listings on Lyngsat.com depending on how you access the site; however, if you access the site direct then select Frequencies -> Atlantic -> 58w Intelsat 9 that should open the page that has the beam/footprint. Look on the right side of the page for the beam and then americas. Note - not all the satellites have the footprint link listed and sometimes it is called something else but this should get you started. SB0
