How to setup your Dish1000.2 with a FTA Receiver
Although it is a common to think this dish does not work with a
Fta Receiver of any type, this thinking is wrong, after testing, It is possible to run as many as 4 receivers of any type off this system, 119/110/129.
You will also need a Dp44 Switch, or this will not work, nor have enough power to move the LNBs to Vertical/Horizonal points.
Here is all the information you need to get started:
1) first after mounting the Dish vertical, with a level.
2) setup 119.0w with the second output connection, run your cable to your
Unit only(alone) for setup.
3)connect this cable to port 1 of the Dp44 switch, which should be mounted within 2 feet of the first
Unit you plan on using, also hookup the power supply on the Dp44 switch.
4) after you have 119.0w locked into your receiver, its time to add the additional birds.
5) connect the cable 110.0w to port 2, on the DP44 switch, and setup the
Antenna settings, you should follow the Baiscs of (OSC-Dp) on all these Birds.
6)connected the cable to 129.0w to port 3 of the DP44 switch, and follow again the setup. Remembering to
SKEW the dish, to
Tweak The Dish as you go, a (satellite meter) will help you do this. But is not required.
7) also this Dish1000.2 has a additional port to hookup (1) more additional Dish, this dish also need to have a Dp Single
LNB , or it will not function correctly.
8)If you use a 18X24 Single Dp
LNB on an older dish. This can be connected
(1) way, because the (port in) on the
LNB is normally (Disabled), without a Hardware upgrade.
9) Connect the additional
LNB dish, possible pointed at 61.5w, to port 4 of the Dp44 switch, and finish your
Antenna setup.
10)
Antenna Setup as follows:
Port 1---119.0w, OSC-Dp Type 12239
Diseqc none
Port 2---110.0w, OSC-Dp Type 12224
Diseqc none
Port 3---129.0w, OSC-Dp Type 12282
Diseqc none
Port 4---61.5w, OSC-Dp Type 12297
Diseqc none
Since this is a Dish (pro), you are using the PRO Techology, please make sure you follow the information posted in this thread.
When connected to the Dp44 switch, it is totally possible to run 4 FTA units from this system, it has been tested as does work.
