Need help with sat 110
I just bought a Dish 500 system trying to point my dish. I have a Dish-Pro Digital LNBF with one output for 119 and one output for 110. I ran both lines to a DP34.
I locked on to Sat 119 with 85%. And trying to lock on to 110. I see settings for the transponder settings and such. I believe I have 119 in the 1st port on the dp34 and the 110 line on the 2nd port.
I figured 110 should be close to the same settings as 119 when pointing the dish. Maybe someone can give me some words of wisdom.
Thanks

Re: Need help with sat 110
Do you really need the switches?
110 should a hair to the east(your left). Sometime easier to get 110 first

Re: Need help with sat 110
go to menu-antenna settings and set up 119 like this
echostar 7 119w
trans 12239
LNB freq 11250
LNB type osc-dp
22khz 0ff
Diseqc number 1
legacy sw off
motor none
now look to the right side and make sure the correct sat pops up above the signal meter
if it does then it is just a matter of skewing the dish a little

From what I have been told I do. I have two receivers now and going to add another one in about a week.

Re: Need help with sat 110
yes if you want more than 2 receivers you will need the switch
if you could bypass it for now and just run a cable from lnb to receiver until we get you pointed right then that would be a big help
also let me know what happens with the post i made above

Re: Need help with sat 110
Bigevil69 I have a 301 DN receiver. My menu just says dish pointing where I put in my zip. I clicked the 119 and set the transponder to 10. It says Locked 119 echostar west.
I then go to the 110 setting and it shows the same signal strength but says wrong sat.
Thanks

Re: Need help with sat 110
Ok so bypass the switch and go straight to the receiver. I was told thoe my lnb does not combine the 119 and 110 on the out put. I have a separate output for the 119 and 110. But I cant be certain. If I need to takes some pics I can if that helps.

Re: Need help with sat 110
I will probably go ahead and su as vip in a few. I went ahead and ran the 110 line from the lnb to the receiver. I went to the 110 setup it shows 105 signal and says wrong sat.

Re: Need help with sat 110
ok run 1 cable from 119 side to port 1 on dp34 and 1 cable from 110 port to port 2 on dp34
run a cable from dp34 to lnb in port on receiver and go to antenna settings on your receiver
are you trying to setup the dn receiver or a fta receiver
