How far east can you be and still get 129?
I installed a 1000.2 yesterday and get 99-100 quality on 110 and 119. 63 signal on all 3 lnb's, yet I have no quality on 129. Using a sv8000.t5r

The 1000.2 is somewhat difficult to get set up. You should be able to get it most everywhere on US east coast. A sat meter will help a lot getting 129 aimed in...

Re: How far east can you be and still get 129?
Is there a transponder I can pull up that I know will have Q when I land on 129. Will it be a matter of az, el, or skew, or all of the above? I'm close if I have such good Q on 110 and 119, or will that be compramised in order to get all three?

Use transponder #12282 for 129. You are close if you have that great quality on 110 and 119. It is very tedious to set though...
Here is something that will help you...
Satellite look-angle calculator

Re: How far east can you be and still get 129?
The signal strength is good on the east coast however the elevation has to be so low that trees , buildings often block the signal.jc is right if you get 110 , 119 you are close and should only require minimal tweaking.

Re: How far east can you be and still get 129?
I do have some trees to the right of the dish about 100yds out. Is 129 going to the farthest right and lower as I stand behind the dish? That may be my issue. I thought if I had signal the lnb is seeing the sat. I may hsve to get a 1000.4 dish.

Re: How far east can you be and still get 129?
I live in the pine tree state (southern Maine) and get 220 channels with Quality anywheres from 60-78. My look angle is pretty low for this sat and have a ton of pine trees in my line of site. I use a DTV International dish (24X36) with the LNB from a 1000.2 dish. I also use 61.5 sat as well on a different dish.
