R there any issues with 1000.4
I'm having my roof re-done next week & don't want to put the dish back up on a brand new roof. Are there any issues using the 1000.4 dish in GA to his sats 61.5 72.7 & 77.
Trees in my yard prevents me from placing a dish on the ground for 110, 119, & 129 but it will allow me to get 61.5, 72.7 & 77 from the ground. I currently have 110 & 119 on the roof & 61.5 on the ground.

1000.4 is only meant for 61.5, 72.7 and 77W satellites. Not possible to point to 110, 119 and 129.

It will all depend on what stb(s) you have. 61.5 does have mpeg 2 and 4 on it, 72.7 and 77 are both mpeg 4. If you have hd stb's then you'll be fine. You can however pull some regular channels off 61.5.

If you have a HD receiver the 1000.4 eastern arc dish will work. Otherwise you will need to stay with 110/119

OK then, I have the Nfusion HD & the nova but from what I've read about, the nova won't be operational anyway after next month.
Thanks, I will be hooking that bad boy up tomorrow.

Just curious as to why the regular stb such as a solaris wouldn't work with the 1000.4. I ask because I'm about to buy a solaris since the nova won't be working. What mpeg is the solaris anyway?

Re: R there any issues with 1000.4
Those Birds are MPEG4 which is HD format. The Solaris will work for 61.5 but not for 72.7 and 77.

Re: R there any issues with 1000.4
The Solaris can only provide MPEG2 Format and the HD will do both MPEG2 and 4.
