Re: Can 82 scan in my area
I'm having the hardest time getting it. I can get 91 no matter where I place the dish but not 82. Depending on how I orintate the dish, the birdog will lock on 82 but the receiver will either show 72.7 or 91 with I try to configure 82.

Re: Can 82 scan in my area
I've used different pointing calculators with different skews & elevation for my area. One to calculator gave me a skew of -3.5 but I don't know how to postion a negative number on the back of the dp500. I tried it with a quad lnb & a single lnf.

Re: Can 82 scan in my area
Skew of -3.5 will actually be 86.5 on the opposite side. Looking at the dish from front Anti-clockwise.
In my opinion you will need a Dish of 30" dia or greater to pick up 82 for your area.

Thanks, that was my next questions if a bigger dish was needed. I've tried using the dp500 & the 1000.2 dish. Both picks up 91 just fine but neither gets 82.
