Ecoda Switch Help
Ok, I have a Nfusion HD.
I have 5 LMB's
My 129 is hooked to a 110 and 119, then it goes out.
I am trying to add a 3rd dish for 82 and 91.
When I hook up the ecoda everything goes haywire.
Does the ecoda let the information through for selecting the diseqc?? It doesn't seem too.
I have the 110,119,129 on the off side.
On the 22hz on side, I have the 82/91.
When I take the ecoda out, everything works on the 110,119,129. It has been working for over a year.
Anyone have any ideas on what I am doing wrong.
The only thing that pops up on the screen is 119, which is Port 1.

Re: Ecoda Switch Help
Are you turning 22KHz to "On" for 82 and 91 in your Antenna Settings?
Menu > Antenna Setup > LNB > OK > 22 KHz > ON
Do this for both 81 and 91, exit and save.

you can use an external diseqc switch instead of the internal switch, see if that fixes your problem.....
so coming out of the receiver you run one line to the 22khz switch....
from the "22khz off" side you run a line into a 4x1 diseqc switch, out of this switch you need 3 lines.....two of them go to the two outputs of your 110/119 lnb.....the other goes directly to your 129 lnb....you do NOT use the input port of the 110/119 lnb......
from the "22khz on" side you run a line into another 4x1 diseqc switch, out of this switch you need 2 lines.....one goes to the 82 lnb and the other goes to the 91 lnb.....
make sure you are using good quality weatherproof compression fitting cable ends.....DO NOT use the twist on type.......

Re: Ecoda Switch Help
Ok, on the Dish Pro LMB's the the 2 outputs do the same thing right?? I am running the same LMB's on both 110/119 and 82/91. I am using rs6 cable and the good ends on them already. I have a 8x1 diseqc switch sitting here. Can I use that by chance. and just not use sat 129 since there is only about 5 channels on there for NFusion HD??? Or just use the 8x1 but only the first 4 of it. So what settings will I use for the Diseqc??

try the 8x1 switch first.....you can still get 129 with it.....
so you would need 5 wires total coming out of that switch.....two to the 82/91 lnb....two to the 110/119 lnb.....and one going to the 129 lnb.....

if your receiver does not support an 8 port switch then you need to use the motor diseqc 1.2 commands.....
connect all your cables and turn on your receiver.....
go into the antenna setup menu for 110w and enter in all the proper info.....lnb freq 11250.....tp 12224 etc etc......
where you normally select your diseqc ports you leave this at "none" or "off"......do not select any port.....
now under your motor menu/commands enable the motor option....select diseqc 1.2 or "user" or "installer" (not sure how the menus are on your receiver) but you need to get to the screen where you can manually move the motor east and west using the arrow keys on your remote (even though you dont have a motor).....
when you get to this screen you need to push the east and/or west buttons until you lock in 110W with good quality......when you have 110w locked in you need to press "save position" or "store position"......
do the same thing for all your remaining sats.....

Re: Ecoda Switch Help
I have been trying that, and the problem I have is I have 2 lmb's that only give me back 20% signal. Its a Dishpro LMB. I don't get it, If I hook it directly to the LMB it works fine. I have tried 6 different cables and also swapped the LMB with another one that is on another dish. It never seems to work when it is on 110/119. I am confused as all get out. makes no since.

Re: Ecoda Switch Help
Honestly, I hope this works out for you. A few months ago, I tried switching two DP500 lnbs (110/119 and 82/91) and couldn't get them to work. I tried using the 22kHz switch, a 4x1 and every setup I could think og, and it was very sporatic...screen would freeze often. Couldn't get it to work, for the life of me.
I'm interested in Oz's motor description though...
How does messing with the motor settings help with a system that doesn't have a motor?
*** I'll be paying close attention to this thread ***

because a diseqc motor uses diseqc commands just like a diseqc switch does.....you could even setup a 4 port diseqc switch using motor commands if you wanted to, but its easier to just select the port.....
some receivers do not support a diseqc switch greater than 4 ports, so in this case you need to setup the switch using the motor commands as i said above......
here is a thread i just found about it......

Re: Ecoda Switch Help
give all the info
what is the model number of the ecoda switch there are a few out there also the 8x1 will not work with dp lnbs
so if you can give all the dishes and switches lnb's you have it would help alot better model numbers of the switches etc .. otherwise it is just guessing

I am not using a ecoda switch right now.
For now, I have 82/91 working fine using Diseqc 1.1 settings 1 and 2.
I have 110/119 plugged into 3 and 4, I cannot get more then 19 or 2 on the signal out of them.
I have a single dishpro lmb pointed at 129, its on diseqc option 5. It works great. So I just have problems with one lmb. I am climbing up there now to swap them and see what happens
