More Help with my Dish's...

So yesterday i was able to lock 119 with near perfect reception. i went up today and changed my skew now i get 129 as well. but no 110? im using 1000.2 dish. what can be my problem(s)?

you cannot get one sat(like 119) close to perfection reception cuz you'll lose one of the 3 sats.
You have to make small moves.
Lock again on 110 and skew your dish.
Get a accepteble Q level for 119(not the best but above 70/75%)
And you'll get 129 right after that.

oh ok. so what i did was lock onto 119 then skew. I should have locked onto 110 then skew?
also... when my lnb skew should be like -14.8 for 110.
i noticed there is no - on my skew 90 is center then it goes up to like 120 and down to like 20.
where would negative be?
14.8 degrees from 90?

Man...i've never looked to that numbers.
I do my skew using the receiver screen and when i've everything locked is good enough.
Dont worry about the numbers.
Play with the skew and have fun.

no, you wanna lock in on 119 first, since it's in the middle of the LNB assembly.

just last week, we converted to a 1000.2. i got 119 around 80Q, then just skewed to pickup 110. Once 110 is in, you'll also have 129 (since they're in a straight line).

as far as your skewing value, hit up dishpointer.com and get an accurate reading. insert your zip code, then on the drop down menu below you'll see a list of satellites. scroll down until you see Dish 1000.2. It's fairly accurate and a great starting point.

if you're having issues, just fiddle with it for a bit. that's half the fun

You need to make sure you are picking up 119 on the correct lnb, which would be the middle one,

Set your skew to approximately where you think it should be, then aim the middle lnb at 119,

After that the only thing you should have to do is fine tune the skew to get the best possible readings on both 110 and 129

like everyone said just get 110/119 locked then 129 will be there you can mess with it to get best quality but you will have to give a little on all sats 70+ is good for that dish. i just set dish skew to 90 and go from there in most cases you will not have to go far from that up or down 90+- good luck

so i got a chance to mess around some more. i was gettin 238 channels from 119 only. im scanning again no that i also have dish 500 runnin with only sat 82. im at 1065 tv channles and 137 radio so far and counting! woo hoo. when im done ill look at the channles and seee the quality too. i need some tuning on the 82 but all seems well. Thanks again everyone.

like bill of oz said make sure you are receiving 119 on the correct (middle) lnb. it should be port1.
on your installation screen does it tell you, you are locked on to 119 when you are selecting 119 and 110 for 110. if so 129 will be there.
