I can't get 119 to work on Port 1
Hi Everyone.
I have a Dish 500 with two single DP Pro LNBs.
I have a great signal and quality on 110. I have skewed the Dish for my location but I can't get 119 to work on port 1.
When I use port 2 with 119 I have a good signal and quality, and get 110 showing up in the right hand corner over the blue back-drop. When I use port 1, I get nothing.
I have tried two disqec switches with the same results. I have hooked directly into the Nfusion Nuvenio, 110 works great, nothing for 119 although it shows good quality and signal on port 2.
I've been reading and playing with this for a couple of days. Any help would be greatly appreciated

Did you go into your diseq settings and set up the diseq switch to show 119 to port 1 and 110 to port 2???

Re: I can't get 119 to work on Port 1
hook 119 lnb directly to box,,see if it locks ,,
if it does ,, get new switch ,, make sure to
power off ur sat box ,, install new switch,,
check all connections ,,make sure all are good
and snug,, then turn ur box on , and try ur settings,,
diseqc switches are like light bulbs,, so when you
install one,, you have to make sure power is off on receiver
and like JC posted,, ur diseqc 1.0 settings need to be set ,,,
so if 110 goes to port 1 on ur diseqc switch ,, set it to port 1 in ur box settings
if 119 is on port 2 on ur switch,, set ur box settings to port 2 ,,,
if everything is good,, when u pull up 110 sat,, 110 will pop up on the right or
on top,, and when u pull up 119 settings,, 119 will pop up again,,

you could always try 110 in port 3 or 4 also and see if that will make a difference .make sure you power off unit before unhooking or hooking up cables.

Re: I can't get 119 to work on Port 1
Originally I had the diseq set for port 1 =119, port 2 110.
I physically changed the cables on the switch to 119 port 2 and 110 port 3. I made the same changes on the nfusion. 110 was working on port three, nothing from 119. I played with the dish and I have both working, but I'm not getting the very low channels on 110 including channel 100.
I think I need to get a stronger signal on both sats. Thanks for all your help.

Re: I can't get 119 to work on Port 1
I would also suggest checking the short cables coming off the LNB's, as : the inside shielding, sometimes its wire and sometimes its like foil. ( not the center ) HAS to be attached to the connection ends......the signal from your reciever travels up the shield and brings the signal ( command ) back from the lnb and to your reciever through the center ( copper ) wire. MAKE sure all cables are RG 6.....RG 5.9 ain't big enough to carry. Best of luck.

119 S 69 Q 81
110 S 62 Q 63 On tp 12239. If I switch Tp to 12282 I get 79 and 85 respectively.

It really don't matter if you use port 1 or 2 for 110 or 119...do whatever will work. (but the default settings for most receivers will always do the birds in numerical order...110 first)
You don't have 119...that is why you see 110 showing up in the upper right corner. (that is the bird you are really seeing)
All you need to do is change settings until you can "verify" the correct bird selected by watching for it to pop up in the upper right corner.
110 = 12224
119 = 12339
Use this to check dish settings for your area (check for Dish500 110/118/119) >>>
