MENU GUIDE





INSTALLATION

satellite list

select the satellites your pointed at here via OK key.red check beside bird to verify selection.

red key= antenna setup
green key= edit
yellow key= add
blue key= delete


installation>antenna setup

enter your antenna settings for each sat here,with signal/quality readings and confirmation of sat, to let you know what sat is found.

red key= search now (this search method is also more commonly known in other stbs as "sat scan" or "auto scan")
this is the preferred method for scanning dn/bev sats for example.

support for USALS and DiSEqC 1.2



installation>satellite search

section where you can perform your multiple sat scans for example 119/110/91 all at once.

also a section for other scan methods.such as the units powerful blind scan for catching wild feeds/events not posted anywhere,and always changing.
(not for use with dn/bev birds)

RF system: NTSC

RF channel: 3/4

system setup>local time setting

GMT usage: on/off
GMT offset:select
summer time(daylight savings time): on/off
date:select manually/auto with GMT usage turned on
time:select manually/auto with GMT usage turned on


system setup>timer setting

1-8 on/off

set manually,or view events scheduled via only the fly scheduling in epg mode(seek features guide below)


system setup>parental lock

enter current password(0000=default factory shipped password)

menu lock: on/off
channel lock: on/off
new password: create one.
confirm password: confirm.


system setup>OSD setting

OSD timeout: off & 1-9 options.
OSD transparency: off/10%/20%/30%/40%
display panel: on/off
front panel display: channel/clock


system setup>favorite

1-8 favorite groups

select favorite to rename via OK key.

rename keypad
red key=capitals
yellow key=delete
blue key=ok

view current software version and date flashed to stb here


tools>delete all channels

confirmation to delete yes/no


tools>factory default

confirmation yes/no
(removes all user settings and channels.current file always remains)


tools>upgrade by RS232

method used by connecting your stb to your computer with a serial cable****ed primarily today as a restore method mainly.but can be used for normal updates as well.requires loader application,and psychically locating your receiver beside your pc.-not common practice anymore-seek the usb loading section for common method.
upgrade mode: all code/main code/logo/default db/userdb
all code: used for general purpose files
main code: used for the standard common files
logo: reserved for future logo files-background boot/possibly radio-and or overall menu background
default db: default data base files
userdb: user data base files (channel lists/antenna settings)



tools>upgrade by USB

upgrade mode: all code/main code/logo/userdb

upgrade file: select latest file here.file must first be extracted and placed on a usb flash drive,and inserted into front of the unit.drop down cover on the right hand side,flip it down to reveal the usb slot.

mp3 media player along with picture viewer

green key=add playlist
yellow key=add all mp3
blue key=add all image

select mp3/picture to playback to begin.
