Will CW 4000 do Expressvu?
Assume that Expressvu was still working on Nagra 2 or assume that Nagra 3 is broken would I be able to have my CW 4000 get HD channels for both DISH and VU or would I need to keep my Coolsat 8000 for VU? I have an SG2100 motor, so changing birds is not an issue.

The specs says the skywalker cw3k will do 8psk and qpsk, so if they fix the nagra 3 hd why wouldn't it do both bell and dish in hd?

Re: Will CW 4000 do Expressvu?
If the receiver does that then yes I believe. The move from 82 to 84 was to allow "better" hd I believe. One way to tell for sure is if it does dn hd then it will do bev. Sorry I can't be of better help I just don't know much about that receiver.

Re: Will CW 4000 do Expressvu?
Would trying to get an HD channel in the clear on expressvu answer my question? I think they have a promo channel in HD. I realize with N3 nothing is guaranteed to work without software/hardware upgrades potentially. Thanks for help.

Maybe, It's been a while since there has been any talk about bev and I can't remember how far they have progressed on making the hd channels mpeg4. I don't remember if the new sat allowed them to change some, all or none to mpeg4 yet.

If it's a promo channel odds are it would answer your question. My thoughts are they would want it to be the best quality HD they could provide to best promote HD.
