When buring movies to dvd I am losing audio - ABA DSS

I record movies to hard drive then play them back with the test button and all is ok, but when I burn to disk the audio drops a lot, which makes the disk useless. ideas?

Don't know what the test button is, looked all through the manual and nothing. By drop a lot, do mean it does record some of the sound. And also what size and type hard drive do you have, and is this in HD or SD or both.

I have a terabyte hard drive and the recordings are in sd. I didn't have this issue until I went to the last few updates. The audio drops, but I am going to see if it drops on another dvd player.

By last few updates do mean the 16, 16r1 and 16r2. If your trouble started with the 16, you need to reconfigure your settings on your audio and video output, this is what I had to do when I went to the 16. The r1 and r2 you don't have to reconfigure.

What do you mean by reconfigure settings? I saved my settings to a cd and then restored them. I get audio buy not 100% of the time. I just downloaded the latest fix yesterday and sometimes the video on hd still freezes up. This box has been having a lot of issues lately.
