It seems to be working finally. I think some other program must have been using up resources. It's too bad you can't hit like alt, control, delete like on windows and see what programs are running in the background and shut them down. The video mbit/s seems to be more stable and hasn't locked up so far. I have the top of the box off to let it breath.

If your on a network router you can share your files and see what is running from another computer, it doesn't matter if you use windows or linux.

Everything goes back to normal when you use the restore CD including your satellite settings, channels, downloads, profiles, recordings and other basic settings I am 100% positive I have dun this several times.
However you will have to reinstall 3Rd party update and mame119 if you use that.

what is mame119? It seems every time I do a 3rd party update it screws my video up. I then have to start over and do a factory reset. I ran putty and here is what I got. I will post the results when it locks up. I tried to update to the rev1 0.16 and that didn't work for me, so I am on 0.16 with the new software from 3-27-09 from 3rd party.

does xine have to be running? What about java and x? Do I need more memory?

the cw makers do not recomend adding memory or upgrading the processor.
