Adding Channels
Here are 2 sites that will help you to find your locals.

Here are some more sites to help you find locals and missing channels:
If you're curious about which programming is on which satellite, Lyngsat has some current information. These are a good source for Freq/Tp, Channel Name, SID, VPID and APID information.
* For 61.5W programming see: http://www.lyngsat.com/dig/dish3.shtml
* For 110W programming see: http://www.lyngsat.com/dig/dish110.shtml
* For 119W programming see: http://www.lyngsat.com/dig/dish7.shtml
* For 148W programming see: http://www.lyngsat.com/dig/dish148.shtml
First off there are locals that everyone gets no matter where you live they’re called Conus signals. On satellites 110 & 119 the locals are Roanoke, Little Rock, Lexington, Knoxville, Denver, Jackson, Atlanta, Springfield, Chicago, Los Angeles and New York.
Next comes the Spotbeams. These are only available in the region where you live. On the dbstalk site you will see these as “6 s 12” . The 6 is the transponder and the 12 is the spotbeam. Use the above links to determine what locals are available to you and what transponders they are on.
Adding channels to an existing this list:
The easy way is to add channel information is to add to an existing list with a channel editing tool such as Gtools or Channel Master after picking up the necessary information from one of the sites referenced above. Simply open the list in the channel editing program you choose to use and open the satellite list and then tp you want to edit, in this case by adding the Name, PCR pid, video pid, audio pid, and SID for the channel you need. You may want to begin the name field with the SID. The boxes for "PMT," "TTX" and "scramble" are grayed-out and cannot be changed within gTools; however these can be modified and changed within the Channel Master Editing Program, although not necessary to receive the channel. If you are not sure how to do this, review the help program for the channel editing tool program you choose to use. When done, save the list and download it to your receiver with gtools.
Another way to add to a list is to scan them in, which is a little more work and the following is how to do it. A reminder before doing any scans is to straight scan, that is, scan direct to the lnb without going through any switches and do not use the blind scan which creates a channel file not recognized by gtools when uploaded.
• First load the channel list of your choice, if you do not have a channel list already loaded in your receiver.
• Now go into ANTENNA SETUP and choose TP SCAN. Choose the satellite and TP that your locals or missing channels are on and scan. Do this until you get all your locals or missing channels. Your stations will show up with a call sign such as “kptv” which is Fox Portland. You will have to check the channel # in gtools...Don’t worry about the other channels that aren’t locals or missing channels, they can be deleted later. These may appear at the very end of your list.
• You can now go back and check to see if everything you scanned is coming in and also check all the channels that are originally on it. If you’re on the edge of a spotbeam you just might be able to get them in. So it’s best to check before you delete them. Make a note if there are any locals that aren’t Conus ones that are coming in for you
• Now once you have all your Channels scanned in, hook your receiver back up to your computer and open Gtools (posted in this forum) UPLOAD the list.
• Click on the satellite you want to start editing either 110 or 119 or whatever.
• Find the transponder that you scanned your channels with. Now you can start deleting all the channels that you don’t need. Out of all the channels that you scanned only keep you want.
• Next you will need to RENAME all the channels that you scanned. You can do this by right clicking on the channel you want to rename and select EDIT .Type it in just like the others in the list. For example if the other channels have the channel # first then the name. “ 1234 Name here” 8020 Fox Portland
• Once you're done SAVE your work . We'll call it “Base List.gtd"
• Now you have two options. One option is leave the list as it is and DOWNLOAD it back to your receiver. Once it's on your receiver it will sort alphabetically. The Channels will appear within the other channels
• Option Two is to reassign a channel number to your locals. Download Channel Master 1.0.7 (posted in this forum) open the list you just saved in Gtools ("Base_list.gtd"). Find the Channels you just scanned and renamed. Right click the channel you want to reassign, enter the channel number where you want the channel to appear. For example I list my locals on the front of my list (channels 1-7)
• Save your work. Open Gtools again (Channel Master currently doesn't have an Upload & Download option) in Gtools open your channel list "local list.gtd" DOWNLOAD it to your receiver.
