1. enable card sharing on your CW box: F1 555 on the remote
2. enable patch on the CW: F1 000
3. turn off auto-roll
4. connect a null modem cable from the CW to a PC
5. on the PC run rq-sssp-client, configured with the appropriate COM port and point it to the card sharing server.

the rq-sssp-client.conf configuration file is well documented and self-explanatory.

this works quite well for dish, but it seems to only work on the 800s and possibly the 700s for bev. either an oversight or bug by the CW coders means that the CS requests are NOT going out the serial port for bev on the 600 series boxes.

O.K. it works if you would pick a MOD and send a PM to him with the info needed to setup and a link to the site and maybe they can work something out to benefit all the CW owners on ABA we all thank you for your help getting our boxes out of the dust clarencegriffit

It didn't work for me the rq-sssp-client folder was missing the Binary for windows (win32) file

right, i forgot about this file. this is the microsoft visual c++ runtime library. it is free, distributed by microshaft. however, the easiest place to find it is in your c:\program files\ directory. just do a search in that folder for it and copy it into the rq-sssp-client folder next to the exe.

This service is NOT FREE. It cost $25/month. You might as well get a real subscription for $30/month. You don't get that many channels but when you get fined by the FCC for $10,000, it would seem pretty cheap.

This cardshare file is for private use only not for us, there is no public servers to connect too just private people doing this with there freinds and family they will not share with you only tell you, you can do it yourself if you wont to try to but don't look for any help from them for the setup they will tell you to read and if you don't understand then thats your problem not theres a sad way to do and be but there you have it. If you pulled everything out of the closet and hooked it back up and ask for there help you see what I am talking about. So leave everything in the closet and wait for a real fix in the posts it will come sooner than later just be pateint it will come. I will say this the man who wrote this program is a great guy and if you understand it you can do the same for a in home cardshare network and share with your freinds it was not intended as the fix for the boxes and in no way did he say it was just a few people jumped the gun and said it was its not for everyone there are a few pirates out there who will take your money and give you access to a server don't fall for it just wait for the fix from CW Thanks Guys and Gails Your Freind clarencegriffit
