Reduced channels available
Hello to all, rookie here, just bought a captive 800, downloaded channels from my 110 and 119 satellites, which feed my regulra Dish net Hd receiver, but only came out with very few channells. i am missing the HBO's, ESPN'S (EXCEPT ESPN DEPORTES), AND ALL MAJOR SUPERSTATIONS, LIKE TBS, WGN, ETC. I CAN SEE ENCORE MOVIES, GOLF CHANNEL, AMONG OTHERS. The strange thing is that I see the ones i am missing on my dish receiver, what could be wrong? dish has a sw21 switch, I have the one that came in the captive box for the other receiver. Both satellites download channells, but few. Any ideas???

Re: Reduced channels available
Hello and welcome. How many receivers do you have hooked up to the dish and so you know exactly what dish is is?

Re: Reduced channels available
Thanks for the help. Both satellites lnb's have two cables out, one goes to the SW21, and the other one to the captive diseqc switch. The d nwork sw21 has only two lnb connections, and they are well placed. In the other one, I have the 110 feed in LNB 1 and the 119 feed in LNB 2. it seems to me that the box is mixing the information received from both satellites, because when I look at the satellites downloaded I see the same channel coming up as part of satellite 110 and repeated from 119, and i've never seen that before anywhere. i changed 119 to LNb 3, and changed it in the antenna setting of the box as well to see if it did anything, but no luck.

Re: Reduced channels available
I'm not the best when it comes to describing dish's but re reading your post I doubt it is a dish500 because you have a sw21 switch there. Can you see any markings on the lnb's?

Re: Reduced channels available
I am not at home right now, but this morning i was looking at them and they had a CA something logo on the LNB , and what surprised me was that they read Direct Tv and some wording I can't recall, even when they were installled by the disn network dealer. I will get you more info when i get home in half an hour. If you have any other suggestions, let me know while I drive home. thanks!

Re: Reduced channels available
My LNB series is a CAL AMP, 150517. On the top, theres a message that reads "to use with direct tv multi dish systems". Please see if this helps.
