Re: no ip config on installation menu
Put in the January file see if it works on N2. If it does, then reload the latest Ihub file, and set up the Ihub again. But don't do a Factory default unless you enjoy redoing the STB sat settings.

Re: no ip config on installation menu
You know.. come to think of it, when I first connected the ihub, everything was fine until I clicked apply on that menu. I never saw it again. Do you think the receiver tried to write some config info to the ihub and crashed? Maybe that bricked the ihub?

Re: no ip config on installation menu
I've found by loading the cleaner file then the latest ihub file through the PVR usb drive process I can get the ip config menu to come on right after the reciever auto reboots after loading the ihub file
but with that i get a gray screen with the wrong resolution that can't be fix with the yellow button trick. i think the files aren't good for my receiver. i think i'm just going to wait for a new file and hopefully it will correct all of this. |

Re: no ip config on installation menu
Interesting.. I've noticed that too. When it comes up with the grey (sometimes scrolling) screen, I have to hard reboot once or twice and it comes back just fine. That being said, yes, the yellow button, up/left trick doesn't work.
However, when I do that, I still don't get the IPConfig menu item. |

Re: no ip config on installation menu
Update:
Going nowhere FAST! That **** menu refuses to come back regardless what I do. I'm pretty sure I've done everything imagineable to the receiver/dongle and in every way possible. Short of a sledge hammer. |

Re: no ip config on installation menu
Here is what to do:
Turn off your LNB power (via the remote and on-screen menu) Disconnect the co-ax feeding the receiver. Reboot to usb (ok button held down on front of receiver) Using a USB stick, load: 1) The 'cleaner file' for your unit - hard reboot to usb again (same as above) 2) Load the Jan 09, 2009 file - hard reboot to usb again (same as above) 3) load lastest ihub file and hard reboot with ihub connected Configure your ihub settings. Reconnect co-ax feeding the receiver Turn on LNB power Configure your ANT settings and do a scan Creative Genius

Re: no ip config on installation menu
this method atleast got me to see the ip config menu with a normal screen!!
Disconnect the co-ax feeding the receiver and ihub Hard re-boot Go into the PVR usb settings Then Load 1) The 'cleaner file' for your Unit - push ok and let it re-boot 2) Load the Jan 09, 2009 file - push ok and let it reboot 3) load lastest ihub file then STOP - connect the ihub - push ok and let it re-boot it should allow you to see a normal screen and ip config menu Configure your ihub settings. Reconnect co-ax feeding the receiver |

Re: no ip config on installation menu
then receiver did a reboot by itself and lost ip config again
starting to think it has to do with the router/ip connection that it keeps loosing connectivity |

Re: no ip config on installation menu
Hard boot your receiver again and tell me if you get a message that says ihub adapter connected.
