IHUB help
Question Fellas,
I've been struggling for about a week now trying to get SV/IHUB to work but nothing. I just don't know what the problem is...??
Whenever I input the needed IP Config:
Setting Type =DHCP
USE DNS.. Set to YES.
Use the Domain = svftaiks (website)
Server port = 1920
Input the serial number in the slot and make sure the numbers are correct. It should be exactly as shown on the device.
Click Apply.
...then do the Network Download, I get a big fat DOWNLOAD FAIL.
Then, when I go back into the IP Config it gets defaulted to the following:
Setting - Static
Local IP - 192.168.1.2
Local Port - 80
Subnet - 255.255.255.0
Gateway - 192.168.1.1
DNS - No
Server IP - 77.93.75.115
DNS IP - 192.168.1.1
Server Port - 80
Serial # --------
I've also tried Network Download on this IP Config but still getting DOWNLOAD FAIL. What is going on with my crap? Can anyone figure this one out?
It would be greatly appreciated!! Thanks!!

SERVER are DOWN right now, none of the channels are working, i think they doing work on the server right now, it was working about 10 minutes ago, but now is completely gone, hope it will be back soon, remember this is still in BETA, so even when is working, you still get a lot of freezing, sonicview team is working on it. hang in there, thing will be better soon. and about the DOWNLOAD FAIL, that suppose to happen, so dont worry about that, just leave that alone, mine is like that too, but when the server is up, im still can watch tv, but i get freezing a lot, that because we still in BETA right now. the setting is
- Click menu-installation-ipconfig
- Setting type: DHCP
- Use DNS: YES
- Domain name: svftaiks.com
- Server port: 1920
- Serial number: put in your iHub/dongle serial number.
- Go to Apply and click OK (don’t simply Exit or it wont save, you must click Apply)
hope that help u out

Re: IHUB help
OK, I am in the same boat. I see all the same answers to this question, but none work for me. Now, ALL talk is about ipconfig on SV receiver and never anything about the PC end of it. So, what is it in networking on PC that should be seen. What settings should be right to work with what is in SV receiver ipconfig screen. I think our problem lies on the other end and not with the receiver. Maybe??

Re: IHUB help
Okay...here's a few things to try..
FIRST: turn your firewall of (pc and router) see if your network talks to a device
(laptop, xbox etc.) and see if you can get on-line. if so, hook up iHub and you should be good. (cross your fingers, this is the easiest solution) if this works, go back and customize you firewall settings so things can still talk to the web.
SECOND: make sure your router is set up properly, post your make and model # and I'll help you
THIRD: if first 2 things get you nowhere, call your ISP, let them know you are setting up a home network and you need them to open all com ports on the modem. Certain modems especially the combos with VOIP, don't like talking to outside devices (I went through this a few years ago). Get a tech on the phone and tell them about your connection issues. Tell them you are trying to get on xbox live, because they really don't need to know about your FTA hobby. Hopefully, if it comes to this, you will get someone on the phone who actually knows something and with the push of a button the modem is talking to the router, the router is talking to the Ihub and you are talking to ABA about how awesome the iHUb is. please post you router make and model # so we can go through the settings and make sure they are correct. -Mook

Re: IHUB help
Well, I have had the IHUB working for 3 weeks now.
The problem, I think is in the BIN file. I have now gone back and loaded 459, and then now I am back on 460. All of my ports are open. I have my own modem and I can go into it and open ports and other things if I like.
The problem with 460, is after about 2 hrs of use. (or if I leave it on over night), I try to change channels and then I get the No service or signal. I lose signal all the time.
Even on the N2 channels I lose it from time to time.
It took me 3 hard reboots to get this working right now, It is still very glitchy and freezy, but what am I to do. I am only working on charlie.
It seems that the SD channels are better then the HD channels. the SD channels recover a lot quicker then the HD ones. I don't get it at all. Its only like 20 bytes of information coming through. N3 is a b***h, I understand that. But I am frusterated. I should just go to work.

My Modem is an Arris TM402G/110 and I use a Linksys 5 Port Fast Ethernet Hub. Firewall is off. My iHub came in a box with blue letters (SV iHub) on it. A yellow and green light show all the time. My internet connection is RR Turbo so I know it is good enough. Nothing here I have read or tried has not gotten me any picture at any time. I checked the port and it is open. I have hooked up other PCs and xbox the same way and they all worked. No one ever talks about any settings in PC networking. I don't undrstand how anyone can just hook it up and it just work. It has to be setup in the PC networking, too! Doesn't it?? I really think my iHub is a bad one.
