IHub questions - mine still showing Scrambled
What is the result if your serial number is not entered correctly? I had a hard timer reading the label, but think I have it right with the aid of a magnifier.
The Ihub at the moment seems to be functioning as I'm told it should - Lights on Ihub with Amber blinking about every 4 seconds, seemingly answering the the mini packets shown on the router port light. I'm using a Dlink WBR2310 Router which seems to be very fast and functional on everythinjg else. It even has a Place the the bottom of the DHCP page called Dynamic DHCP client list. I have 2 entries, one is for .101, my wireless and .102 port the Ihub is on. This info is Name= WIZ1x0SR000000 and no Mac Address. I have it now on DHCP, but it will act the same on static with the same info. Oh yes, I telneted the IHuB site to be sure it is up. After 10 days of messing with this thing, I'm getting very discouraged. I pick up NASA And Pirate channels OK on receiver. HEEEEEELLLLLP PPLLEEAASEEEEE! thanks, |

I was having the same problem. Go try Zekester's #4 comment in the stickies under help, IHUB QUICKIES follow them all. Then it is just a game of patience.

Re: IHub questions - mine still showing Scrambled
keep your local network on DHCP and allow the router to assign the IP. only reason you need to set a static IP is if you are using Blackrock or another means to hide your IP.
WIZ1 is your Ihub, and it should show you a Mac address in your logs. On the wbr2310 if choosing WIZ1 or any device for any advanced setting or IP setting you have to click " << " to copy the mac address for that device onto the box on the left. if you didn't enter the MAC there, then you didn't make any changes to the rules for that device. check on your STB that under system settings/user options/ used priority is: IHub Autoroll is: OFF |

I did pick up on your statement that autoroll should be OFF. I double checked the port forwarding and the WIZ1 was there and selecting it gave me the ip I have been using. Still no channels. Thanks again |

Re: IHub questions - mine still showing Scrambled
The serial # is a pain to read sometimes, I thought an F was an L for 3 days.
my ihub does present a mac address and it has been the same since day one. the six numbers after wiz1xosr should be the final 6 of your mac address. they are in my case anyway. i read somewhere that having autoroll on while using IKS messes with Nfusions so I turn it off too so see if it would help with freezing. apparently SV's ignore autoroll when priority is set to Ihub. Did you just look at port forwarding to see if it was listed?, or are you actually using port forwarding... I am not. |
