SV iHUB Version 82.0 Error Fix

iHub version 82.0 error fix.

If you have tried to update your ihub and froze during the process you get version 82.0 in the version box.

1) With the same ihub loader on the third tab. ZERO everything out.

2) do not change anything on the second tab.

3) on the first tab. Check your local ip address. When 82 error occurs it will add a 1 or a number to your local ip address.

Mine was 192.168.11.89 corrected is 192.168.1.89
SECOND LINE will be 255.255.255.0
THIRD LINE was 192.168.11.254 and was corrected 192.168.1.254

Get the picture?! It add a ONE to my address. Yours will be different DO NOT USE MY IP ADDRESS BECAUSE THAT IS FOR MY NETWORK NOT YOURS. YOU WILL GET A ERROR MESSAGE!!

Now....

On the bottom third of this tab check USE DNS SERVER. If this is filled okay if not mine was 192.168.1.254. Matches the THIRD LINE MENTION EARLIER.

Server name is:

www.svftaiks.com

Now....

Hit the SETTINGS BUTTON on the bottom right hand corner of the screen.
This will update your settings.

Last step, if done correctly click the update button to update your ihub and select the 1.4 file you downloaded.

After it is done processing turn your receiver off and disconnect your ihub for mins and connect everything and turn on your receiver.

Wait for the adapter is connected screen to pop up and double check your ihub settings. Refer to HOW TO section for the correct settings.


REMEMBER THE IP ADDRESS USED IN THIS POST IS FOR MY NETWORK. THEY WILL NOT WORK FOR YOU. YOU WILL NEED TO CONFIGURE YOUR IHUB USING YOUR IP ADDRESSES

in the option tab(third tab) do you disable tcp server? mines is enabled? and do you put zeroes on everything or just blank it out? Also in the first tab what do you put for pppoe and password? mines has some weird symbols on there, do I erase that and then save? Thanks for your help I really appreciate it.

Yeah, I did have to disable the tcp server on the third tab... forgot about that. otherwise i was getting an error when clicking the 'setting' button (invalid parameter value). Also fyi, I updated with the rom0100 bin first, than the 1.4.

I put '0' zeroes in everything.. except for the tcp and serial configuration fields which were disabled.

the pppoe and password were auto filled in after clicking 'search'. didnt change these. Mine also had strange characters.

do you have vista or xp? Also were you hard wired when you did this cause I am running wireless. How many zeroes did you put in each box, 1 or more than one. Thanks in advance.

Edit: I tried and it didnt work for me, still get fail to upload. Someone please help.

Prior to using the fix provided by buddyjh. I had tried updating with wireless (xp and windows7), hardwired (xp and vista) and directly connected (all three). All came up with the same info and local ip - 192.168.11.2: gateway - 192.168.11.1, but would fail to update. When I saw this post.. i just tested using the pc I was on. vista hardwired. After it worked didnt look into the others.

I just checked on my wireless windows7 and it no longer finds the MAC address anymore without checking DHCP and direct IP Search (inputing the 'new' ip with the singe '1' - 192.168.1.2) It used to come up with no problem.. just wouldnt update.

I put a single '0' in each box. What is it doing when you press 'setting'?

when I press settings it saves it fine, but my ip and and gateway dont have a extra 1 in them, they never have, I dont even know what to do anymore, maybe it's because I am not hardwired.

Sounds like you have a different issue than I had and what this fix was for. if you can ping the ip and/or see it on your network/router (i originally couldnt).. I would try on a different pc and wired if possible. If you havent tried it yet.. upload the rom0100 bin first than try the new one. beyond that.. im probably no help. You might open a new thread and post your settings. Im sure someone out there will figure it out. I was getting pretty frustrated prior this this one.

i entered the valuew for the ip, subnet, and default gateway but my dns server ip comes up completely different than the third tab (default gateway), and then gives me an invalid perameter value message when i hit setting

my gateway and dns server ip are different. I dont think that is an issue.

At first I also was getting the invalid parameter value error. I had to uncheck the password (tcp server) on the third tab (options) for it to work.
