Martin Havlat took a hit from the Red Wings Niklas Kronwall in the first period and did not return.
Havlat was knocked unconscious when Kronwall hit him with his head down. Havlat was on the ice for a few minutes before being helped off the ice. Kronwall was given a five minute major for interference and a game misconduct for his hit. "He looked better after the game," coach Joel Quenneville said. "We'll call him day-to-day and see how he is [today]." If Havlat did suffer a concussion, it will be at least one week before he is able to return. This will be a serious blow to the Blackhawks chances as Havlat is one of their top three offensive performers.

could not missed that,i am a Hawks fan,and Havlat is my Countryman,we're both from the Czech,a big blow to the Hawks,he is a big playmaker,something like Jagr,both play a simmilar style,he could decide the whole game,

See, this is where I would like to see things like the good old days with enforcers on the ice. If that were the case, Kronwall would be eating punches, it was a good system, self regulating. If you had the balls to make a hit like that and suffer the consequences then so be it, but if you didn't you'd back off from delivering a hit like that, and there would be alot less hitting from behind, and other stick work. I say get rid of the instigator rule.

when it happened my first instinct was to laugh.,.,.he didn't touch the puck but it was in his feet and he had his head down.,.,that's what happens when you skate with your eyes at your feet.,.,just ask Lindros.,.,LOL.,.,I'm not a wings fan but I thought Havlat got caught and he payed for it.

and yes get rid of Betman.,.,what a weasel
