PCI cards for N3 upgrade
Hi folks--
I just build a new media center PC. I have been using FTA dish for a long time and now I herd they will be switching from N2 to N3 therefore i will possibly be needing a new fta receiver. but then i came across PCI cards that have satellite inputs. Can i use the PCI card and with same ease as i used my FTA reciever?
What is the best PCI hardware to get?
what is the best software i need?
and will the hardware ever need to be replaced or will it always be like a software patch
thanks

Re: PCI cards for N3 upgrade
I believe Twinhan is the most popular (please correct me if I'm wrong). It's only the hardware. It'll still go down when Dish switches to N3 completely. But again, the coders can also hack N3 and release a software patch for it (just like with FTA boxes).

Re: PCI cards for N3 upgrade
it might be a good idea to wait but you can also probably get a really good deal right now.

Re: PCI cards for N3 upgrade
Yeah, you can always get a card right now and play around with it. Get acquainted. Especially if you can find a good deal.

Re: PCI cards for N3 upgrade
I think DVB-S2 cards are more expensive but backwards compatible with DVB-S. You can check.
