Built my first htpc, need suggestions for pci card

I built my first HTPC, using Hauppuage 1600 for now. I would like your suggestions to replace my pansat receiver affefctively plus get hd channels if possible. What components i need to buy? what PCI cards, software to use for the setup. Thanks,

I was also wondering about the software myself. I've heard about knoppix mythtv this is a free download you might want to try.
