Near Flawless HD but not quite...please help!

I have the following two computers and systems. Both do great HD but for some reason on ESPN and on CNN or anything with a ticker on the bottom it appears as if the ticker is not smooth or that it stutters or is dropping frames. Every other channel looks very good. Just these channels seem not quite up to par or any channel with a ticker. Sound and everything else are great.

Tried with two PCs:

PC1 is on a 680i MB with an intel Dual Core Processer. 4 GB of DDR2 Pc1066. cant remember the speed of the processor but it was 2.4 ghz I think and it was with the higher amount of cache before they relabeled some of the processors. I have an 8800GT superclocked as vC. I am using Genpix Skywalker and nvidia purvideo for audio and video and Arcsoft for HD.

2nd PC is Quad Core 9450. 4GB of DDR2 Pc1066. Its on a QuadGT mb. Using an ATI 4850 in that one. Its the newer computer system. Same set up as far as HD with Skywalker etc.

All drivers are the latest. Oh and I am running through an Onkyo 606 in pass through mode.

My question is this? What can I do to improve the performance on those channels for smooth play...is there a tweak I can use or is there some problem with the tv itself...oh thats a panasonic TH 50 PZ 800U.

My options are to buy a video card with 1GB of video memory for the Nvidia MB. Thought of a 1gb 9800....and to get a 4870 for Quad GT...or possibly a second 4850 in crossfire. Will any of this improve performance? Will some tweaks help? Please advise or leave any comments or suggestions as they are appreciated.

Look into a free prog called ReClock.

I had the same problems you describe playing back 1080p on my rig with an ATI HD3400 offloading to get 3% cpu usage. ReClock fixed this.

I now use Haali Media Splitter + MPC Video Decoder (w/DXVA) + ReClock and things are working perfectly.

I don't have a GenPix but the same problem/solution should apply.
