cloverfield
I know, this one is old but I just got a chance to see it (wife doesnt like those kind of shows). Im glad I finally got the chance, it was pretty good.the video camera was kind of annoying by times but the special effects were good and everyone getting killed was different.
cant decide between 3.5 or 4 stars... 3.75

Re: cloverfield
2.5 stars....it's okay....but seemed to me like they got their ideas for the making of this film from "blair witch project" (that was a good flick)

Re: cloverfield
I enjoyed it, the movie would have sucked if it weren't for the camera work. And with that said, I'm not really a fan of the home type of movie films. But in this case it helped pull it off.
I don't think they should have shown the monster so early in the movie. Maybe would have been better off if they hadn't shown the whole thing at all and left you hanging as to what was happening.
Also a must see with a decent home theatre set-up, wouldn't care to watch it at all on a 27" set with stereo sound.
