Re: fail no device
ok lets try loading u48 and file 153.1 then do a factory default and rescan.and see if this clears message.if this doesnt do it and you have loaded all them other files and this one i would tend to think there is something wrong with reciever.

Re: fail no device
Bro, Try to unplug your unit from the outlet while your unit is in power ON for 5min. Then power OFF and plug-in.Then follow snakebite.

Re: fail no device
ok i just found out some info on this issue.if you have loaded the 152.1 and you get fail message you need to reload u48 then 153.1 and you need to use serial cable that came with your reciever.after you load this then you need to factory default and rescan.

Re: fail no device
i got this from another site, its almost the same thing Snakebite told you to try.
153.1 for New Phoenix recievers
Good afternoon,
If you recently bought a new Phoenix reciever when you initially set it up establish your network 1st after you establish your network hook up your reciever to your tv what I want you to verify is your current factory release.
*Press menu-->System settings---Sw version. All of the new recievers from factory have U51 or higher.
*There are more cases now where a new user would load 152.1 to their reciever and it fails the device. Alot of people were getting fustrated and started to think they had clone of some sort.
All of the new recievers have a updated Asic (Application Specific Integrated chip) The content has changed but the security chip is the same which must require that you have a min of 153.1 load or it will fail the security devices...
*One of the members bought a new Phoenix from an authorized dealer when they got home they loaded 152.1 and they failed. I had them return the reciever and they recieved another one and it failed again. Finally I said enough was enough and I called my friends and we have been working together and discovered that they updated the content on the Asic on your security chip .Which requires those new recievers must have a minimum of 153.1 (The maintinence file loaded)
*If you loaded 152.1 and it fails reload the factory U48 and apply 153.1 You must use a Serial cable or a Serial to usb along with v131 loader.
*After your load 153.1 do a date dump by performing a factory default by press menu --->System settings--->factory default press ok and delete all.
*After you do a factory default then apply your lnc configurations and scan your channels this will clear alot of issues that more and more people are having.
P.S From now on Please instruct new Nfusion users to load the 153.1 file. After they load the file to do a factory default before scanning and configuring their lnb settings.
I just thought that all of you should know this information to save you from the fustration of your reciever not working the way it should.
Thank you for your time and patience.

Re: fail no device
As I understand it, one rarely has to load a U file.
Just the latest OS is typically enough.

Re: fail no device
I tried all this and still getting the fail no device message. I'm starting to wonder if they messed up my ASIC when they pushed out the update? (assuming that's how it works)
I was using 153.0 until today when I noticed it wasn't working. Updated to 153.1 but it didn't help. That's when I noticed the fail no device message. My wife says it was saying that before I did the update as well.

are you sure your reciever is saying fail no device? or is it saying checking security device?try loading 153.1 again over your last one and see if that helps.

It says checking security device followed by fail no device. I could take a photo if you wanted.
I have already loaded 153.1 many times, but I'll try it again. BTW, I have only loaded 153.1 in main mode, never in boot mode. Am I doing that correct?

Re: fail no device
Reflashed 153.1 and still doing the fail no device message.
I then did another factory reset and tried again, but it didn't help. Strangely, I noticed factory reset doesn't wipe out my internet settings eventhough it wipes everything else.

That's what I was afraid of. I've emailed them about it, so hopefully they'll exchange it. Thanks for your help.
