Unhappy Nano 2 - ABA DSS

When I looked at purchasing the Nano 2 I knew CNX was not known for the IKS solution but I looked at the channel list and thought it wouldn't be a bad unit. I bought one and so did 2 other people on my recommendation. So far all three of us are disappointed. No PPV, no setanta, no ALT, and some other channels are spotty at best. Sorry guys but my wife does like to watch things other than porn. If the porn channels can function perfectly why not the PPV's or god forbid setanta? Also I have to keep turning the power switch off at the back to even get a picture. This is just my 2 cents as I'm sure there are a lot of happy CNX users out there.

wow.....talk about being ungrateful.....what do you want for 200 bucks?.....the entire world handed to you? free tv for life?.....unbelieveable.....

PPV was an EXTREME LUXURY it may NEVER be back !!

buying an FTA receiver does not guarantee you anything other than true FTA channels.....subscription channels and PPV channels are not FTA!!!

if you want all those channels and PPV so bad then get a sub and pay for them !!!

nano 2 support has been top notch and i dont think they deserve bashing like this.....you purchased your receiver with expectations that were too high......and that is your own fault, nobody elses......

may i remind you that your viewing hundreds of channels for free, that means your not paying for them and other people are......and your unhappy because those channels arnt the ones that you want??.....unbelieveable.....

Kind of response I expected Bill. I am mainly trying to warn potential buyers that the channel list is not 100% accurate. I have a sub to another provider and I am happy with them. This unit is secondary to that service some what a "bonus". Don't worry Bill your turf is safe.

IKS channel lists change more frequently than the weather.....sometimes by the hour.....most experienced users know this.....

Don't worry about it gotrain, it is nice to see both positive and negative (when warranted) feed back on all receivers so others can educate themselves before they make a purchase.

This is new ground they are breaking right now (BETA) testing.
We have been getting more & more channels for the past 2 months & I think the server has been very good.
You should ask a SV owner about poor servers.

If anybody does their homework first (reading the threads) they would know that we are not getting premium sports or PPVs currently.
We are told the PPVs are on the way & I got some to work for a bit...but like I said BETA.
Also we are not getting most locals...but as mentioned above...most of us are very happy to have all the channels we have.

CNX has a great track record and I expect a good future as well.

Ok, in reading this, my first question is why did you buy the CNX Nano when it seems like the top 3 boxes right now are Nfusion, Kbox and SV? Currently there are none of the boxes running PPV, there was for a few weeks some VDO channels open, but the provider closed them off so, that avenue is off. What is Setanta channels? Sorry, but that does not ring a bell...

Right now, Nfusion has close to 700 channels open, I"m not sure what CNX has but there are lists for all the providers floating around... but like someone said, that changes quickly because of the Provider, not the box or coders.

It does seem your beef is with CNX and that you may not have done enough research as there is pleanty of posts about what is and what isn't available for most of the boxes..

Hopefully they will get it squared away.. but for now, there are no PPV but in saying that there are tons of Movie channels up so enjoy them!

I was talking to another user yesterday and had never realized this but channels like MSG, SUN, CSN, etc. show all pre game programming however when the game comes on the channels go scrammbled. Any idea if CNX is working on this too?

no offense but it seems like you are very ignorant on this subject.....to say the top three boxes are NFusion, Kbox, and SV is stricktly your own opinion.....

i suggest you educate yourself more on the CNX support before you start putting it down.....

CNX has great support and just as many or even more channels (at certain times) than any of those three you listed.....they also have the most porn channels up, and DID HAVE about 10 PPV movie channels up for about a week.....

Hey Folks. I'm not here to get in to battle with anyone.... my opinion and experiance has been with Coolsat (anyone need one?) .. SV (trying to get it together) and Nfusion HD, out of the 3 right now, the Nfusion seems to be doing very well...

No I don't know anything of CNX, your right, I just happen to have looked at a channel list and it was nice, but not as far along as the Nfusion unless that has changed since yesterday which it just may have! Nfusion has most of the porn, but if you have one, they are all pretty much the same if you know what I mean!

There are losts of channels I personally don't watch so it has no affect on me, they seem to have a nice selection and seems somewhat stable!

Actually at first, SV was pretty darn good, they had both DN and BEV pretty much wide open.. but then ran in to traffic overload I suspect!

My reply was based on "No PPV" available right now from any box's yea, maybe, we will see, but still with about 700 channels.. that's plenty for most TV watchers...

Again, I was not banging CNX... justs mearly pointing out that there are some channels that just are not there yet... and the discussions of what has been there or what has not is pretty much available..

So Bill of Oz... relax.. isn't this all a hobby anyway.. if it gets to be a job.... I'm quiting :-)

And actually I have both Nfusion and CNX nano 2 and I switched back to CNX since Nfusion hasn't had ppvs at all showing up while my nano 2 has had ppv showing some what a little bit every week at least. I mean this whole weekend I had nothing showing on my nfusion while the last couple weeks I have had channels 502 and 509 showing for 5 minutes at least.

Buddyjh I agree with you on that one sv shouldn't even be on the list in my opinion.
