I am so sorry for all the loved ones of everyone that was injured and lost their lives. What a sad thing to happen. My heartfelt sympathy to all. Acredreams and Eclipsemoon, and all the members that have someone serving right now, I'm so sorry for your anxiety that you must be feeling. You are all in my thoughts and prayers.

ok id like to point out somethign that no one seems to even think about.....this is a guy that was an American no matter what the terrorist theory ppl try to spin..butthe point ppl are missing is this was a Major not some new recruit and no one has brough up what the constnt redeployment is doing to essentianly an all voluntary army. From what I have read this is not the first murder by a service man at Ft Hood and that also thier has been at least 10 suicides there as well ..something has to be done aboutthe cause of this and I think we all know the cause

Fort Hood is open but all my friends there are talking about how times are hard and things are changing because of this event. We all really had a lot to do and now more things are going to be added to Military work on Post.

jccp49 I am not sure if you know what you are talking about, but I am in the Military and if you see how much work (red tap) we have to do maybe you will be able to see what is going on. We are doing our best and I hope that the news can report the great stories that go on every day with in our Military Soldiers. I am NOT saying that Hassen was right because that SOB never deploy that was going to be his first deployment and he was not going out side the wire like most of us.
If you ask me what should next for him (he should start praying).

i think your missing my point ....this is not an isolated incident and it wont be the last as long as the stress and pressure put on troops continues and if this is not addresed there will be more trouble as time goes on

He was a career soldier, the military gave him everything education wise it and this was his turn to do payback . Never been anywhere or did anything combat wise. He expressed his concern about the action in Iraq and Afghanistan, at that revelation he shud have been taken and made to answer for it. His action now is a tratorious vile event, he is now dreaming of those 72 virgins.

the FBI had been watching this guy for over 8 months because of his radical postings and comments he made to everyone. he yelled ALLAHU AKBAR before he started shooting people witch is what terrorist shout before blowing himself and women and children up.

This was a terrorist attack and nothing else, political correctness is what let this happen,if the fbi would of been let to do there job instead of worring about racial profiling then maybe this would not have happened.
