Actually, I read about that concept/problem recently & after doing controlled testing of both type units...the results were non conclusive.
Start over with:
1. Flash factory file version 120 ABA DSS - Free to Air Satellite TV Community
2. Load current bin 184 (NORW for CoolSat/ not CoolTec for clones) http://www.abadss.com/forum/115-cool...0081124-a.html
3. Do a factory database reset...make settings (turn everything ON under "Options" page)...autoscan birds.
4. Check keys / enter 8282 with remote / see link below GET NEW KEYS HERE
5. Select ch 200...wait.
6. Read my CoolSat Setup Instructions below to help.
* I think you might have loaded the clone version bin & maybe that is your problem Andy.
