coolsat4000 bin 1.87 - ABA DSS

Hi,
Just now I did flash my CS4000 receiver with bin 1.87 using loader v2.4.Unfortunately I am getting scrable channel.I did manually updated the keys and signal strength is 90%.
I am positive nothing wrong with my dish setup because i am using same setup for SV4000 using dual LNB.My CS4000 was working fine till bin 1.85.
Not sure why no picture.
Any guidance will be appreciated.

cs4000 with bin 187 is also down was working fine last night. nothing has changed dish ok. keys are ok. free preview channels ok. all other channels scrambled.

Can anyone pls confirm CS4000 is up and running with bin 1.87?

Did you reboot the unit after loading the latest .bin file?

I did hard reboot , still same result.I did use loader 2.4 and my understanding is it should not be an issue.Do you suggest factory default?

you may as well go for it as it can't hurt.
make sure you write down your setting before you default..
give it a shot..

I did try but no luck.Never had such problem since 2003.
I give up.

I am sorry you have been over looked with help friend.
We can get you back up...no problem.

Check this for me...
Go to CH 100 (Home channel) and see if it is working. also 103 /500 & NASA 213.
If these channels are working...it means the receiver is up & the channels are blocked.
That can only be the keys are wrong.
But remember this...the keys will roll in automatically, given enought time. (after a hard power reboot from rear & and be sure autoroll is turned ON under Options)

When you load the current bin 187 it should make all the correct settings for you...but I tell everybody to go into Options page & turn everything ON.

So keep the receiver ON and leave it on ch 200. (after a hard power reboot...OFF 10 seconds...ON & wait 2-3 min)
If the keys are entered & saved correctly...the unit will be forced to come in instantly.
So if you are getting the home ch...and you enter the correct keys...you will pop in right now.

If all this fails...load the factory file version 120 >>>

Then do a factory database reset...make settings...get green bars...verify shift...autoscan birds.

I'm having the same problem.I have good strength echo 7 119w.Loaded 187 checked keys they are correct and still scrambled channel.Any ideas would be appreciated.

Reports of some CS4000 models not rolling keys & displaying "Scramble Channel".
Some CS4000 units are made in Korea, and others are made in China...and some think this might be why some units are working now & some are not.

Maybe it can be cleared up with a new bin release...no word from the coders as to any efforts to fix this right now.

They are aware of the problem & we can only wait to see...

I have one of the units now that can't be fixed with bin187.
Are you telling us that bin 186 is working? (an old bin?)

i am having same problem. turned off box from rear, and still getting scrambled channel signal. am running 187. is it true 186 is still working?

Some people have been able to get things going again by loading the factory file a few times and others say doing a nvram clear has worked for them, they didn't say which file they used after the fact though.
