Well found something at cool sat ( We are very proud to introduce Repair Upgrade Exchange Program for your old Coolsat 4000, 5000 & 6000 STB's to new model Coolsat 6100 & 7100. Our estimate cost for Coolsat 6100 is 79.00 USD and Coolsat 7100 is 119.00 USD for each unit. Our original MSRP for Coolsat 6100 is (119.00) and Coolsat 7100 is (159.00). ) Does this there fazing out 5000 an 6000 too???

this is old news. really sad support here. sure the set is old - but i have a 78 camaro that dealers can still fix and keep running just fine. of course i could buy a newer one, but they dont stop supporting their old products!

I agree its older, and great for FTA - however if its still capable of doing the job, which it is; greed is the factor of the push to upgrade.
