Need Help setting up 4x1 DiSEqC Switch

Ok guys, after the last failed bin I decided to get a second dish for "bev", well I did and I ran "bev" until bin 163 came out. Now I want to run both dishs "bev" and "charlie" to my reciever. The DiSEqC switch is the one that came with my reciver CS5k.... I have "charlie" conected to LNB1 input on the switch and "bev" conected to LNB2 input....

When I go to menu.....installation......dish setting..... and I scroll to sat 119 echostar 7 my settings are as follows.....
LNB Power----- --on
LNB Type--------OCS-DP
LNB Freq--------11.250
22khz-----------off
DiSEqC Switch--1 (I am use to setting this at 1)
Committed------1 (I am also use to setting this to 1)
Legacy SW-----off

With this set up I have no level or quality..... If I change committed to 2 I get good level and quality but the top right of the screen says bell expressvu 91

With this set up I have good level or quality..... but the top right of the screen says bell expressvu 91... If I change commited to 1,3,or 4 no level or quality........

How should I be setting this up for sat 82,91,110,119.... Thanks guys.......

commited OFF. its seems to be interfering with your switch. if you had 110 just put it to 3.

you should have 1 line from each LNB running to the switch make sure that you have the right lines going to # on the switch ie 119 going to #1 - 110 to #2, 91 going to #3 and 82 going to #4, Then in antenna setup make you commit to the same settings and you should use standard LNB as LNB settings.Hope this helps.

I think this is the only time I have been really confused with my cs5k....... ok I connected on side of my 110/119 to LMB1... the other to LMB2..... on sat 119 I have committed 2 with good level and quality but top right says bell expressvu 91..... I know I have good signal on charlie..... when I straight through it and not use the 4x1...... man......

what type of LNB are using, the Dish pro LNB has a built in switch and will not work with diseqc switch

What would he need then because I'm in the same boat. I'm getting 119 and 110 from a dish 500 with twin LNB and 91 from another dish 500 with twin LNB also. Both Antennas have built-in switch. I have 119 and 110 connected in the STB. Every time I wanna watch BEV I have to remove the cable and replace it by the other one (meaning coming from the second dish). I use a SW21 switch that works sometimes but mostly doesn't. What would you guys recommend? Hope I'm not hijacking..

Madcs..... you beat me to it..... same question..... I just tried to use a spliter... 2 into 1 and I see 91 has good level and quality... but the top right does not say bellexpress 91.....

Dish Pro LNB needs #2 for the 110 and #3 for the 119 when using a DiSEqC switch. That is what I have learned. So you need 91 into #1, 110 into #2, and 119 into #3. Try switching the "DiSEqC Switch" setting to 1.0 / 1.1. I hope you are just using one receiver? If you are using 2 or more receivers then that is a whole new ball o'wax of splitting the signal off one feed into the switch. The LNB and DiSEqC switch settings have to match in order to get the correct signals to the receiver, otherwise they get crossed. Hope this helps and didn't add to the confusion.

multi switch, not diseqc is what needs to be used
