Help with Coolstat 5000
I'm having trouble with reception of some channels , particularily with some of the 500 channels , TLC , Learning Channel etc , is anyone else having these issues? I did a factory reset , loaded BIN 119 ....
Does anyone have a idea?

Did you do a factory reset before or after you loaded 119? You should have done it after. And then rescan the satellite.

New Coolsat 5000
I just received a coolsat 5000 platinum receiver, I need to know what I need to do to get free to air satellite. I am new to all of this and I need info on how to get it installed,downloaded, the basics from step 1...thank you..

Carpenter , thanks for the reply.... i did a factory reset & then loaded BIN 119 , i then loaded my channel list ... last night couldnt get the channels , tonight , everything is fine ....
Dino64 , MENU , SYSTEM SETTINGS , DATA BASE RESET , FACTORY SET

Carpenter , i lied , the channels came on for about 5 minutes then off they went ... seems to be only a couple of channels as mentioned above TLC & Discovery.... thanks for the help .....

pbsprez,
I'm having the same problem with Discovery and TLC (the two channels I watched the most). They get choppy pictures and high pitch sound.
Let's stay in touch to see what we find out.

You need to do a data base reset after you load the 119 not before.

Carpenter , thanks for your replies , its appreciated , i did a data base reset , reloaded my channel list etc & things seem to be working ok ... thanks for the help , however one thing i found now is about 4 channels in the low 200's have a broken picture , almost appears that the weather is real bad , but only on those 4 channels , weather is ok

tdm 850 , i did what carpenter said , seems to work for those channels , but i have the same prob as you on lower channels
