can any one tell me please what is ecm and iks stands for and what it mean?

ecm is what providers use to mess up fta and iks is a way to keep updated on some stb's

so ecm is when the provider change the software and iks is when they change the keys?

ECM is what the providers do to knock out fta stb's. IKS is a fta unit that hooks up to the internet to get needed information from a computer when a ecm comes out. Iks is only used when things go bad, and when they can the iks units come out with a stand alone fix therefore making it so you don't have to keep hooked up to the internet.
